We picked up a bit of European or deep fried food, and Chinese. I liked the Chinese by far. This was our first time here so it was order by chance. I think I would go back for the chips they were pretty scrumptious, but they offer a variation that I would like to try of Chinese, Thai, Mongolian and I may have seen Vietnamese as well, or I was dreaming hahaha. Benefit of the doubt peeps . As I said I may try the rest. I'll let you know if I beat you there! Happy tummy Peeps Stay safe out there always Parking: There is parking out front, although not a lot. But if you take the first left past the shop there is also 3 or 4 parking spots there. Wheelchair accessibility: There accessibility here for wheelchairs just no specific parking.
It took nearly 30 mins wait for my chips order, when finished, my $6.00 chips was a tiny portion and it was stale. With no customers prior or during my visit, it is insulting to wait that long for a cup of chips. No quality what so ever. The fried fish in our previous experience was very oily and mostly batter. If you want quality, head over to Greenjade in Avondale! Never ever returning here again.
Ordered 4 dishes from here yesterday - fish swt n sour, chkn blk bean,chkn frd rice, steamed rice. Best dish was steamed rice...not joking. Fish was mostly batter, fried rice was clumpy n sticky and chicken in blk bean tasted odd. First and last visit here. Possibly one of the worst tasting chinese food in Auckland. There are much better chines food options in the area.
This is our go-to takeaways for now. We came here for several times and we've always been satisfied. Would definitely come back! We usually request for the fish to be pan-fried without batter with reasonable extra charge. The chips are great and the burger excellent. Value for money! I don't know why people gave low stars here, but our experience has been great Would recommend this place and wish the owner the best of luck with their business!
I try to support local but the food here was RUBBISH!!!!! Fish and fritters were hard as a rock and had hardly any meat in my steak and egg buger. Only ate the chips cause we were hungry. $40 gone down the toilet back to Green Jade
This is the best place to get sea dogs well I’ve always been an avid fan of them and omfgthey still taste the same like it was only yesterday I went a fortnight ago and it bought back so many memories of yester year. They make amazing food and it’s good to know it’s the same owners. If you’re out this way this is a must go to takeaway after a night of partying
It has a wide range of selection from Western to Asian food, so amazing. It even has the $10 self service plate. The food looks delicious, I haven’t tried yet Tried it: the fish has too much flour in it, the fish fillet is only a very thin slice. Definitely a good choice to make you full at low price, not a good quality fish and chip
I love takeaways more than I should but after $30 spent chips couple burgers fritters and fish .. honestly only because it's friday night and they have just closed I would have taken the lot back. Totally uneatable and that's no lie totally disgusting and wouldn't give it to my dog. how do they stay in business .... They used to be good apparently..check out the photos...
We ordered potato fritters, chips, sausage and fish. The potato fritters were like plastic and rubbery. The chips were pale and stale. The sausage was OK it was better than the others and the fish was not fresh at all. Furthermore, the was just something odd about the batter. Overall, I would not recommend the foods I ordered. They also have Chinese takeaways here which I did not try.
Generous chinese portions. Burger not so. Tried to charge me more after i paid, when i came back to pick up. Come on guys! You make a mistake with price, own your own mistake. Keep making good food!
