The motel was good, the room was very clean, bed slept great. Gisborne as a city is my personal hell, if you do need to visit it, stay here!
Great service, super clean and tidy, friendly owners, very well located.
Nice size room with everything you need. Close enough to town and a short drive to the town beach. I had a front room, so when traffic started coming past more frequently around 5.30 am, it became difficult to get sleep as there is no double glazing and didn't seem to be well insulated. Despite that, I enjoyed my short stay, very comfortable bed and great pressure in the shower, could use a towel rail to hang a towel so you can reuse. I would recommend.

Amazing facilities to use especially if you are constantly on the road.nYou have access to a washer and dryer from 8am - 8pm free of charge.nThere is ample parking.nThe walls are thick enough so you don't hear your neighbours.nFeel very rested.nI'm going to ask my work to book me in here everytime I'm down.
This is the second time that me and my husband have stayed at The White Heron in Gisborne and it wouldn't be the last!nnFrom the 1st interaction of getting settled in to leaving, you are met with nothing but kindness. You feel well looked after and cared for.nnThe rooms are always immaculately clean and they are spacious for 2 people. They have aircon to warm or cool the unit down, the bed is super soft and cozy, the pillows are plentiful and soft. They have an electric blanket on the bed which accommodated us well with the wet weather. The bathroom was clean and the spa bath was amazing. They even had a Dolce gusto coffee machine and pods in the unit which was appreciated so much! For $200 it was definately well worth the stay.
