Story

The Westport & Lee Café, a vibrant eatery at 179 Latrobe Terrace Paddington, is the latest of a number of existing Cafes in the Upper Paddington area. Westport & Lee Café will proudly offer a charming and relaxed environment for customers to experience authentic customer service, great food and wonderful coffee.

“The name reflects our philosophy. We are a café where our food and coffee are fresh. We cook with lovely produce, we offer a thoughtful seasonal menu and we pride ourselves in our customer service” said Stephanie Taylor, Owner.

Inspiration for the Café was drawn by Stephanie from her travels where she fell in love with the Adirondack Chair. The chair was designed by Thomas Lee in 1903 and originally made in Westport, New York. Driven by a strong sense of place and purpose, with her daughter Hannah, Stephanie has set out to create a Cafe built around the remarkably recognisable and unflaggingly popular chairs – simple, comfortable and unpretentious with a wistful touch of yesteryear where life was a little simpler, time a little slower and food, family and friends were enjoyed. Stephanie wanted to strike a chord with customers by bringing simple, yet high quality food made with fresh ingredients, to the table. “Our food is very much related to relaxation and happiness” “We would love for people to be able to eat here and be better for it by providing them with the best possible options for food they know and love.”
