All the staff are retirees and it shows as they really enjoy their time working here as opposed to it just being a job. I loved the guided tour as did my kids. Yeah, sure many of the exhibits did not look right but who cares. We all had a really good time and it was a lot more intimate and personal than what we would have gotten at somewhere more commercial like Madam Tussauds. Highly recommended for families with kids 8+ years.

Walked past this place twice before we decided to give it a go. Walked in and the staff were extremely friendly. Paid what we considered to be a reasonable price as we couldn't see what was available besides a brochure. They were 20 minutes of closing and agreed to have us come in even though the tour itself would be half an hour and then we were free to browse the wax statues. The tour was interesting full of interesting facts but something I wasn't overly interested in and it dragged on quite a bit. The wax statues were below average. I've seen wax museums a lot more realistic. Maybe three of the wax statues looked like the person they should have while all the others completely fake looking. In my opinion this place isn't worth the money.

A great family treat, a walk into history, both old and new. A special private fully narrated tour down stairs, a must see. Place the qax works on your must see list.

Lovely lady out the front, wax impersonations weren't as I expected but still cool to get a few selfies although behind glass. Pay the extra & go on the tour downstairs, even my 23yr old son was wised eyed with how they used to do things....

Firstly they told us this was great for kids. WRONG!! The first part of the museum is full of wax figures that kids would never recognise because they're OLD. Past presidents, Prime Ministers, old celebrities etc. Secondly, there's not that many, you can finish that room in 10 mins and given that it costs a family approx $100, it's not good value. The second part of the museum is the torture chamber. What has this got to do with wax statues?? They told us it was great for kids... My husband took the kids and left after the first window. I stayed and left about two thirds of the way through because it was so gruesome and I felt like I was going to faint. So, if you have a week stomach, don't do this tour!!
