Friendly helpful staff, clean and tidy waiting room and toilets, good free off street parking.nThere is only a small coffee shop and vending machines available at the station.nWe took the train to Melbourne from Warrnambool, which was pretty good.nThere is also a V-Line bus from/to Mount Gambier that coincides with the morning/afternoon train.
Nice railway station. Vending machines inside with sandwiches, wraps, cold and hot drinks and snacks. A food and drink van outside the station that serves hot food. It gets busy and a bit crowded at times, but it remains clean and tidy.
Pathetic that this station and travel hub refuses to offer luggage storage or lockers, considering it's a popular destination for travellers and tourists - and no luggage storage elsewhere in the town. Not much fun lugging a heavy backpack around for a few hours.

Given there is no flight option to Melbourne... this is it. The service leaves a few times a day. The station facility is adequate, the train could do with an update.nnIt’s a new trip; today the train service was cancelled and replaced with bus
