Park is in a great location, right on the other side of sand dunes is a walking track and lovely long stretch of beach. Reception staff were friendly, however I can't understand why we were put so far away from everyone else and amenities when the park is quite empty and we'reonly here one night. It's really the boondocks out here, no shade, rabbit holes absolutely everywhere and a long walk just to go to toilet. Yet there were plenty of powered sites what we paid for available that were in better position, had shade and concrete pads. Amenities need updating, grotty and run down for what you pay for.
This is a well located Caravan park in Warrnambool. Council run. It's really big with well maintained amenities. Right on the beach, with easy access for a walk along the clean sands. Bring a jumper as the wind can be bracing. All good . Don't forget to check out the adjacent Flagstaff Hill historical area and see the night-time presentation . There is an adjacent train line, with a few trains each day, but not too much of a distraction
If you are travelling with kids it is straight opposite the kids park which is large and has heaps of equipment. The holiday park doesn't have anything for kids. It has a lot of rabbits, which would be in the hundreds of them, so loads and loads of rabbit droppings which could not be avoided which isn't plesent for the kids to play around. We also had multiple issues 3 in total with our boom gate code not working which we were lucky was all in the office hours so after a quick trip to see the office they reset it and fixed it up.
A very large caravan park right on the beach. Great that u can bring dogs. Cheap washing machines $3/load. LOTS of rabbits & rabbit holes. Mostly grassy sites with a few slabs. Good camp kitchen.
Very helpful team in the OfficenWell cared for park & amenitiesnBBQ's, camp kitchen with ovens, him tops & work benches only kettles & toasters provided. No other cooking utensils, pots pans etc providednVisited in September school holiday period. Dogs allowed!nWatch out for the rabbits
