We stayed for 3 nights, the Staff Veronica and Taylor were amazing and went above and beyond in their role to make our stay great. This was very much appreciated and our site was perfect. The only downside to our stay was the person or persons that decided it was ok to steal small items off our table in our annexe. To say we were annoyed is an understatement. If they had needed something just ask and would have tried to help them but don't be a petty thief.nBut I guess you can have bottom feeding scum like this anywhere, a good thing we had the big items secured with lockdown cables. This shouldn't be necessary but now I am pleased we take that precaution everywhere
This is a well located Caravan park in Warrnambool. Council run. It's really big with well maintained amenities. Right on the beach, with easy access for a walk along the clean sands. Bring a jumper as the wind can be bracing. All good . Don't forget to check out the adjacent Flagstaff Hill historical area and see the night-time presentation . There is an adjacent train line, with a few trains each day, but not too much of a distraction
Park is in a great location, right on the other side of sand dunes is a walking track and lovely long stretch of beach. Reception staff were friendly, however I can't understand why we were put so far away from everyone else and amenities when the park is quite empty and we'reonly here one night. It's really the boondocks out here, no shade, rabbit holes absolutely everywhere and a long walk just to go to toilet. Yet there were plenty of powered sites what we paid for available that were in better position, had shade and concrete pads. Amenities need updating, grotty and run down for what you pay for.
The park is well located with great proximity to the beach. Very well organised regarding pin code park access. Accommodating for our urgent need to park up early. Unfortunately, we timed it when a Schoolies group were celebrating the end of year. Loud music after 10pm and absolutely no campsite etiquette, walking through our campsite at 10:30pm, talking loudly. We accepted the train sounds but unfortunately the loud noise from car exhaust and motorbikes was more frequent than expected. Also, assuming for safety, the lights on the toilet facilities are very bright, and with a hot night and windows open, the lights shone through into our caravan.
