When a bakery has “award-winning” written across its windows, expectations are high, but Waack's Bakery in Stawell absolutely lives up to the hype. What started as a quick stop turned I to a delicious discovery, and we couldn’t leave empty-handed.nnWe started with a vanilla slice and a coffee, and both were spot on. The slice was creamy, flaky, and just sweet enough, while the coffee was smooth and well-made. As we were waiting, the smell of freshly baked bread filled the air, and we couldn’t resist grabbing a bag of burger buns to take home for dinner. They looked, felt, and later tasted, amazing.nnWhat really impressed us was the sheer variety on offer. From ready-to-eat sweet and savoury items to a generous selection of breads and rolls, there’s something for every craving. Whether you're after a quick bite or fresh goods to take home, this place has you covered.nnAs a lovely bonus, there’s outdoor seating right out the front. We sat down to enjoy our treats and watched the town clock chime at the top of the hour, a sweet little touch that made our visit feel even more special. Waack's Bakery is definitely worth the stop!!
The chicken supreme foccacia was quite delicious. Usual bakery fare, nice staff.
Stopped here for a quick lunch and enjoyed a very tasty Lamb Pie. My wife bought another tow to take home. I'd thoroughly recommend a visit to Waack's when passing through Stawell.
The vanilla slice was good but the coffee was sad. No taste, over boiled milk served in paper cups 4/10
Unfortunately we stopped in and were hoping to grab something to eat. The pie warmer was near empty so I asked politely if that was all the pastries as I had 6 people to try and buy for on an interstate drive home, and the response wasn’t very customer service friendly. I’m a super easy going happy to talk to anyone kind of person so was just frustrating to be met with that response. The sold out pies and sausage rolls - no problem amazing work glad they had a busy day. The attitude not so much appreciated.
