It's always great to find halal meat and this shop has it all. Chicken mutton beef and the best part is that they have ready to cook marinated meat items.
So expensive than other butchers price wise. Don’t mind paying a bit extra of quality is good but they charge ridiculous prices.
Not good service I asked for a bag and they shouted at me saying no bag go get a box you're self or a bag
Shop looked appealing, nice variety of meat and looked promising. We got some marinated Lamb steaks, smelt fine but tasted a little funny and were extremely tough, shrugged it off. Next day they went right through us, something definitely not right. Not surprised, was a bit worrying when the guy that served us didn't even use gloves. Won't be back.
This place has been my first choice for lamb. I've found it to be of great quality through out the years. Really happy for the team here to be doing so well business wise, matter of fact they are so busy when I asked if they could bone a shoulder for me his response was 'No, we're busy'. Maybe I'll wait until they're not so busy next time to ask if he can be kind enough to bone me a shoulder, or maybe next time I'll go elsewhere. It's a win for the both of us.
Got Boneless chicken and sausages from this shop and next day they were started to smell,complained to the shop but there was no apologies and on the contrary the person said ok I have to go and disconnected my call. Very disappointed with the response, they should check before packing and selling it to people, people are paying their hard earned money for it .
Been shopping there last 20 years. Same owners had a shop in Embelton. Always best product and prices. Great selection and very affordable cured/smoked meat. Worth a visit when in area.
I have been buying my meat from Vrbas for years and today was served by a young short chubby rude butcher who was extremely abrupt. He then overcharged me from the price on the scales. when I queried this he kept saying check your receipt. I asked him to weigh my meat again. He refused and walked off. I will never shop at Vrbas again. Beware!!!!
Middle age guy at the shop is super rude!!...just wanted to double check if meat is 100% halal and his response was absolutely unacceptable, sounded racist as straight away asked for my country of origin. Goat meat I bought was nice but over priced and some of the beef definitely didn't look fresh, was turning grey and even black!..never going back mainly due to the attitude and customer service. PS: The comment I made about your attitude was not a complement mate :
Bought some meats here for Christmas lunch on the Monday afternoon and Christmas was on Wednesday, Christmas Day comes around and pulled all the meats out the fridge to cook for lunch, all the meats had turned grey and smelt really bad, the following day I had returned to the shop and explained the situation, he told me it's not his problem he's not the one that served me, there was not one single bit of concern no apology he just smiled and continued working I asked for the manager and he said he's not around. This will be the last time I shop at this business and I suggest other do the same the meat isn't fresh and the service is just appalling, as you can see by my review and others I'm not the only one having a bad experience with this dodgey establishment. The Dog ended up having a better Christmas lunch than us in the end, after it was ruined by this incident.
