Story

Mondo Di Carne (World of Meat) started as a small customer service focussed retail shop in The Avenue, Midland is now located 5 minutes from the city at 824 Beaufort Street Inglewood.

Well known for the best meat and largest range of meat in Australia, Mondo has also been forging a reputation for quality home style ready to eat meals, hot roast meats and lunch rolls.

Local favourites include the Spring time Saturday morning markets and cooking classes with the founder Vincenzo Garreffa.

I shop here every week. Always come away with either fresh meat ready to cook my way or one of their great meals. The chicken pies are the best I have ever tasted anywhere. If you have been standing there waiting to be served just ring the bell. Its not that they are too busy to serve you...they are busy cutting and preparing fresh meat. Parking can be a problem at busy times but I have always got one within 3-4 mins. Mike

I was shocked to find out that the butcher would not slice my steak really thin for me, he said “ I’m not going to cut my fingers for you” That was his exact words. Excuse me sir but if you don’t want to cut your fingers doing your job maybe you should look at doing a different job for a living or learn to do your job properly.

Terrible, Shopped here twice. First time ordered suckling pig with 3 months notice. Turned up to pick up for Christmas and despite 3 month pre-order was presented with frozen suckling pig wrapped in ripped black garbage plastic with freezer burns all over it. 2nd time was a counter order for premium Wagyu for shabu-shaubu. Out in the floor, was told it could be cut to any specification. Once approaching the counter, one of the butchers gave me the option that it could be frozen for ultra thin with a 3 hour pick up PLUS COSTS FOR FREEZING or he could do it "at thin as possible" with a normal knife on the spot; opted for the latter. Was presented with 3 bits of steak of about a 1/3rd of an inch thick which was pathetic. Then got complained at over the counter by one of the more senior staff that he couldn't sell it anymore because it was cut too thin and ruined...bought it to diffuse the situation but will NEVER shop her again..

Best butcher in town! The staff is so friendly and professional, it's a great experience everytime I shop there.
