I had a initial consultation at every place offering Laser Eye Surgery in Melbourne, and drilled each of them with a million questions about their experience, surgery outcomes, and involvement with peer-reviewed studies. As highly informed and capable as they all seemed, Dr. Guy Olerenshaw and his amazing team members (reception staff, Owen, Simon, and Natasha) at St. Kilda Eye Vision Institute were the only ones to blow me away with their expertise. Already having problems with my eyes (keratitis), he was the only surgeon able to see it and wait till the appropriate time to commence with the procedure months later, when everyone other surgeon in Melbourne was keen to start operating asap, completely neglecting my safety. Additionally Vision Eye Institute was the only clinic able to send me data about the success of the procedures on their patients in the last few years, and the results looked promising! Dr. Olerenshaw is polite, kind, honest, patient, consistent, a great listener and very thorough with covering all bases before and after the procedure. I have 20/20 vision after having bad myopia and astigmatism. No scary side effects or symptoms at all, that I read in studies and saw on documentaries. I'd like to say it was a miracle, but it was really the effort of his excellent and dedicated team. My only regret was not getting this procedure done sooner. I highly recommend them to anyone who cares about getting the best results through proper treatment.

I had the ASLA procedure in August and am really happy with the results. Everything was explained to me really well so that nothing came as a nasty surprise, and within a couple months I had full vision in both eyes. It’s great to be glasses free!
