Went there for a year. All he gave me was drops for my dry eye. Duh!! told me I should try closing my eyes using tape at night. ok... what has that got to do with the fact that my right eye has been deteriorating significantly for a year? Apparently, he said after dismissing me and asking me not to come back- it's because of my dry eye... He had nothing more to say to me. My eyes are worse than ever now, my right eye is almost useless. so blurry- my left eye does all the work and straining it.

Cannot speak highly enough of this place. The staff are fiendly and efficient. The Doctors l have seen during the year l have attended are competent and sympathetic. Sure, sometimes waiting time is longer than others but overall staff attempt to cope with the high demand of numbers as quickly as possible.

I was referred here by OPSM in Brunswick for a optic nerve condition which required specialist review. They called me in early January to make the appointment for mid-February. During the call (about 8 minutes) most of the time was spent on explaining to me what the charges were and how much I could be paying. No time spent on actually "why" I was coming to see them...That's not important here. I arrived today with an immediate reminder of the fees involved, no welcome at all. "Do you understand the charges involved in the appointment". Not to mention that it's splattered all over the wall. Still, no actually interest as to why I'm attending and what I expect. When I questioned if they actually had information about my appointment there was a bit of "emm, emm I think we have your referral".. Waited for ages (as all reviews seem to suggest). When I was finally called in none of my information was known or why I'm actually there. I questioned this again and another "emm, let me read the letter".. So they were not prepared, had no idea why I was there or what information was already available about my condition. I was to go through all the basic tests which I've now done about 3 times again and start from scratch...At what I must say were very high rates which by this time was explained to me a very many number of times. Someone or all in this clinic has one focus, making money. That's it...If they had any interest in me they would have at least bothered to ask.

Not sure why all the complaints about the wait time. I was told to allow 2 hours when I made my appointment, and I've been there twice and both times was given a heads up about the wait.

The wait to see the gp is unbelievable... the appointment system needs to be overhauled...why does my time in the waiting room need to be so long. The receptionist must be asked this question numerous times per day. Although I was informed that my apppintment would take one to one and a half hours, I assumed that would be because I was being assessed not sitting around. My advice would be to find an optometrist who will value your time as well as his.
