Story

Booze, tucker and old school tunes is our thing. 60s, 70s and the 80s.

We offer a welcoming bosom of liquid refreshments. Beers, ciders, vinos, T pots and cocktails loaded with vitamins and minerals. We use local produce where possible with our mouth watering menu of home made pizzas, burgers, salads and gourmet delights. Then the sun goes down and 1983 never felt so good. Your permed up hair and over sized glasses never seemed so right. Your foot is a’tapping. The beers never tasted so good before. The music is real. This is Vinyl Bar.

Came here on my last night in wellington, wish I’d got to go more. Friendly staff & great atmosphere.

Good music. Wheelchair access is limited. The Bar is very narrow most of the way down and is very hard to navigate when crowded. There is an accessible bathroom. The garden bar is not accessible for wheelchairs as the benches are fixed so cannot get past.

No way would I visit again as a tourist from Auckland, not worth it. Your bar tender recommended we not order the nachos, as the chef doesn't do them right which does little for your confidence of the food of the place. I ordered fries for $8 and got a tiny portion, as a vegetarian I found the options on the menu poor and expensive. Would have got a better feed in Auckland for that price, it may be expensive here but at least I know where to get a decent feed.

we went here for drinks and nibbles and it was a very nice atmosphere to hang out with my small team! Highly recommend!
