They lost my key fob to my car when it was impounded made me pay $880 to have it replaced then took 2 years and countless follow ups before they finally reimbursed me. Don’t bother calling you will only waste hours of your time on hold before eventually being hung up on. Been waiting over 2 weeks for an email reply sent follow up 5 days ago still no reply. This is supposed to be a “public service” but there is no service at all so i don’t know what to call it without being rude? Public ignorance? Massive rort of public money? ‍
only gave them 1 star so they allowed me to post a review. Tried countless of times to to clarify pick up date via call and email. every call they put me on hold for 10 mins then just hang up and clearly it was a waste of my time emailing them as well as I’m still waiting on a reply almost a week later. Pathetic!
Pathetic but shouldn't of expected anything more from Victorian police. I've sat on hold for 20 mins for 4 times to only be hung up on. What a joke
13 missed calls from me and NO ONE has picked up 1 phone call from 9am until 12:50pm. Almost 4 hours of trying to ring, it hangs up or rings out. Ridiculous!!! Does anyone work here at all????
No one ever answers the bloody phone why? They are willing to take the money no problem but are too lazy to answer the phone.... Also I got my car back with the Tyre having a puncture in the side wall and half of my protector for underneath the car was dragging along the ground. Absolutely disgusting still waiting for the damages team to get back to me after almost a month. These people there are absolutely pathetic and so are the police.
Received a letter about a vehicle that I sold years ago and is no longer registered. They provide a phone number to contact in case the vehicle is no longer yours but no body answers the phone. No call back system, no message system, no email system.
Received a fairly menacing sounding letter in the mail the other day in regards to an impounded vehicle bearing my registration details. Turns out it was a vehicle I owned about 12 months ago, the new owners never bothered getting it registered, they sold it on to someone else who herself hasn't bothered getting it registered, she's been pulled over for driving an unregistered vehicle, and I've received the notice in the mail. In the letter there when numerous references to fees that, as the previously registered owner, I would apparently be responsible for. Wanting to rectify this issue immediately I tried to contact them via phone number listed on Google, and as many other reviewers have already pointed out, the phone rings for about 30 minutes, and then hangs up on you. Today was my third day of trying, I have now wasted 90 minutes of my life trying to contact these people, to let them know of an issue that isn't even technically my problem. I have done everything I can do. In a month's time, when the car is eligible for release and they come and try and chase me for these fees I'm apparently responsible for, I'll be letting them in absolutely no uncertain terms that I won't be paying them and that that they have wasted my time. More than happy to amend this review if the issue is rectified, but being a government-funded agency, somehow I don't think it will be.
I understand that it’s not the funnest time to have your car impounded but my issue is with the payment option available. For starters there was no one answering the phones and as I couldn’t collect that car was trying to arrange payment. In the end had send bank cheque and hope it got there in time it didn’t but then had no choice but to pay extra each day. I’m all for taking responsibility for your own actions but this is nothing short of taxing the poor. Had I been someone struggling I can only imagine what this financial burden would have felt like. Better payment options is my big suggestion. I’m trying to stick to the law and consequences this is a major shortfall that may only encourage someone to break the law further to deal with the financial strain.
Please learn how to pick up your phones I've been ringing all bloody day
Tried to call on different days at different times, just sat on hold then rang out. Complete joke, got a letter to contact but no one bothered enough to pick up the phone.
