I visited Vic Roads on Exhibition street on 7th of July 22 at 1:25pm. The lady who served at the front door with galsses and red/brown hair answered my inquiry. She talked to me in extremely dismissive tone, treating me as someone who can't speak english. I felt the racism as there was clear discrimination between myself and the customer behind me that she served. She was smiling to local customers who were lining up behind but extremely dismissive to me. I can't believe this is still happening. She said "Thank you" aftet I finished about my inquiry just to finish off with customer service and I felt the sacarsm. I genuinely hope that this kind of act does not happen in any kind of public service anymore.
Friendly and helpful staff. Waiting and processing time is quick and efficient. Location is convenient a short walk from the tram stop.
Have gone in first thing in the morning to sort my license out. Well organised staff. The service representative who served me was absolutely lovely. Helped me with everything quick n easy no stress. 5 stars
Generally, it is a very good service and employees are very friendly. They try to help you best to their ability. I would like to point out that if someone reads this. 1. To the people visiting ,please come on time as they hold on to the appointment only for 10 min. 2. To the reception staff, before giving people the cancel/reschedule ticket when someone is late, tell them the chances of them getting served are not good. You can book the next appointment online. So, as a visitor, if they give you a cancel/reschedule ticket, there is a chance you are just waiting for your appointment to be rescheduled.
VicRoads would send a sane person bonkers. I waited for 25 minutes listening to incessant messages about L-Plates. When they finally answered, they said they had to transfer me to the payments team. Another 25 minute wait! So, that's nearly an HOUR waiting and Ive heard their messages about L-Plates about 100 times. Why oh why can’t they update their systems and treat their customers with respect?!
If I could give zero stars I would! Was trying to get a refund for a car that got registered interstate by the buyer. Vicroads wouldn’t refund me the 6 months!! More than 400$ wasted. Incompetent service. Long waiting times on replies to your problem. Every employee says something different. When I called, a man said it is no problem to get refund I just need a statutory declaration why I’m not holding the number plates anymore. Now they refuse to refund!!
Consistently the worst organisation I have ever dealt with. 30 years of little ‘zero f’s’ given. To be fair I dealt with one individual in the Melb city office years ago that actually cared about their role but everything else is painful. Aggressive staff in each site which seems to span across the entire state, long wait times over the phone where the staff seem just as agitated to answer my call as I have been waiting for them to answer it, and then we have the wonderful digital option where the response comes in 3 days after original enquiry onto to remind you dumb you are and that the website has all the answers we need. Strong chance MOST people have spent hours on the website trying to figure out an answer to their question. If this was a normal business, they would have been shut down years ago. Pay your licence renewal, pay your rego renewal and pray you don’t need to do anything else with them.
NO STARS!!!! I arrived at 4.28pm after going through hell in traffic to get there before the listed 4.30pm closing time. Number plates in hand that I needed to return for my old de-registered car. The manager had obviously decided to lock the glass electronic doors early and refused to open them despite the fact I was waving my plates in hand and my finger pointing directly towards my watch indicating they should still be open. He clearly couldn't care less and just wanted to get out of there. Eventually he and his colleague just left and then sent a security guard to me that said he couldn't do anything for me. Stay open til 4.30pm!
I don't know if there is a problem with the company's system or people. People who came later than me have all fixed it, and I have to wait stupidly. I just want to ask a question, and I have to wait for more than an hour and it hasn't arrived yet. I, the ones who came after me have solved the problem one after another, it’s enough.
Drama free well managed / functioning office, with helpful staff that steer you in the right direction for information and necessary documentation for presentation if a return is required with such relevent information for processing.
