The UQ Sport Aquatic Centre in St Lucia boasts three heated pools: a 50m Olympic-sized pool, a 25m pool and a shallow Program Pool used for Learn-to-Swim lessons for kids and adults, and infant swimming.We provide a range of activities, including Learn-to-Swim lessons, squads, group classes and training facilities for several UQ Sport Clubs. We have swimming options for all ages and ability levels.You’ll find plenty of space to sit and relax at the Aquatic Centre too! We have undercover and open air areas to catch the sun. We offer barista made coffee, and have an onsite Pro shop with swimming apparel, goggles, fins, towels and more."

Great Aquatic Centre where to practice swimming and where to take your first swimming lessons
Great staff. Very helpful and friendly. Facilities good and clean. The swimming pools are perfect for different options: training, just swimming or for kids. There are clean toilets and showers. Plenty of space to pack your stuff safely. There is a coffee shop where you can get food as well. You can bring your bike and there is parking next to the facilities. They have classes for kids too. The instructors are so good and friendly. They always try to help kids when they don’t feel good swimming.
Always a great place to get some laps in... 50m pool has been refurbished and is great... Heaters ensure all year swimming is possible. Coaches are fantastic and the staff are very friendly.
Bad communication throughout. Signed up for the free swim class, and the 50m pool was ruined by the floors, which delayed the free swim class. This was understandable. Went back down when I was informed the free swim class was back up and I was told the 50m swim pool has not resumed. After weeks of not receiving any notifications, only did I only receive an email a few days ago saying that all free classes had resumed. But it was too late because the free swim lessons were ending. UQ swim lessons did not even take the initiative to notify all their students that the free swimming lessons were back. Disappointing experience.
love the place, especially small pool with warm water. good for kids and family.
During winter the baby pool is heated to 31 degrees and the new 25 meter pool is 28-29 degrees. If there are lessons in the baby pool the new pool is always available for kids to have a dip. Service at the Cafe is also impeccable and coffee is cheap. Best winter hangout!
I attended a swimming lesson in the undercover hot water pool for my baby granddaughter. It was a very good experience and I can highly recommend this centre for baby swimming classes. The teachers are very knowledgeable and kind. Safety is the priority and my granddaughter loved it.
Awesome swim squad and Masters swimming. Beautiful facilities.
This is my first visit and it was a beautiful quiet new years day. Two pools 50m and 20m with plenty of lanes for all to share! Staff were super friendly and they have a few life guards on duty. Will be coming back on the regular for sure!
