UQ campus is a lovely spot for a picnic during Jacaranda season October. Lovely lawns and gardens with plenty of bird life. Good accessibility by public transport. Water fountains dotted about, good for warmer days.
In my years at UQ I found it to be elitist and unsupportive of local students, and a horrible environment for female students. Whilst coverage of theoretical knowledge was good, practical skills were so underdeveloped in students that they leave their degree ill-equipped to enter the workforce, and UQ has developed a reputation for this. Alumni are only of interest when UQ is asking for money. I definitely wouldn't waste my time or money on a UQ degree.
Damn! This is a very nice campus. It’s so well manicured and well maintained. Everywhere you go it’s nice and scenic. And so many spots you can sit and relax and enjoy the sights and sounds. Where I come from due to harsh winters it’s not comparable. I would enjoy attending this university.
I was going to have a cup of coffee and enjoy the nature there. But was stunned and got stuck by the Jacarada flower blooming giving almost beautiful scenery of the Spring.nnMany people, family, individual, couple, and group of graduates were enjoying there time appreciation of the beauty, taking as memory and some for post-graduation.nnIt's quite a big campus, it got me sweating to walking around from the bus station, through garden, until I got to the main building. Of course, I spent a lot of time walking around the garden and the lake before going inside .nnA nice one! Hope to have time to see the museum and library later.
Beautiful university in an even more beautiful environment and campus. All you need is there. Including a bank, stores and those beautiful lakes. You can easily enjoy a walk in the campus and the green beautiful surrounding.
