Very beautiful campus. And the Botanical Garden just opposite of the campus. Its beautiful.
I don't recommend this campus. Its in a corner of the city with extremely high parking fees if you bring your vehicle. Accommodation around the campus is one of the highest in Australia. Lecturers and tutors are decent. Student support is great.nTakes an hour to get to the uni if you just live outside the cbd with walking and public transport. Consider these things before you choose GP campus.nAttending all classes is not worth it since most of them are recorded anyway and due to reasons mentioned above. Overall, there's a high chance you miss the uni experience. Choose wisely.
Horrible education these days! Do not make the same mistake I did!! Please look at newer reviews!nThe teachers are rude and unhelpful, emails are almost never answered and the workload is horrendous, so much so that actual professionals in the field looked at the workload and said that it's unreasonable. Heck, the teachers themselves agree it's unreasonable! I've also heard passing conversation from the teachers that QUT is cutting their budget, which are forcing the few good teachers to teach in a way that's unproductive. Instructions for assignments as well are extremely vague and they can even change it without changing the actual assignment requirements page. While there are some lovely teachers in some units, most of the non creative unit teachers are just unbearable and don't even answer questions. This university is not going to get any better anytime soon so please choose a different one for your own sake.
Awesome campus, just next to the botanical garden!
Doing a master's degree at QUT was an excellent time in my life. Some of the lecturers I met are outstanding and their level of interest in the field encouraged me to push myself further. It definitely opened some doors in my career. Well worth it.
