Wouldnt recommend. Refused to see someone I know who’s mentally unwell/stressed and needs help with NDIS paperwork ASAP because they were 20 mins late when the docs are usually up to 2 hrs late themselves. Never gave notice of the appointment so they were only late due to remembering the time wrong by 20 mins. Treat people like numbers not like humans in need. Avoid. They know this person will now have to wait a further weeks/month now after already waiting that time for this appointment. They don’t take any criticisms or complaints seriously. This practice needs serious investigation on its care.
After half an hour on hold, I managed ti get a "over the phone consult" I was then charged $70 before realizing this was an in face charge fee. I tried to call back but after the hour of trying to get through I have up and just let them have it. Sad times for rural doctors, and more so for the patients. The wage should reflect the service and regardless if there's a shortages of "doctors" or not, don't waste my time. It's almost a useless service. I don't even like going to the doctor because of you, rushed in and ushered out fast, just to pay $70 to your rude Staff. Thanks for the valijks at least, all you have to do us ask
The doctors I see here are amazing, the reception and business side is terrible. Can't book and appointment online for weeks, and can't call without waiting on hold for hours. Before my last visit I would have believed that that they didn't answer phones due to the volume of calls, however I sat there and watched the phone ring for a good 5 mins while all 3 staff sat and had a conversation about their weekend and one was massaging the other shoulders feel sorry for the people trying to call. Everytime I go they ask me to update my details on a paper form, I did it for the first two times and now refuse, nothing has changed, and if you can't update it then there is no point writing it out. Its sad to see such a poor office letting down good doctors.
Large and fairly modern centre with a nice waiting area. Sometimes customer service and wait times aren't ideal but decent comparatively. Most of the doctors are very good.
Lovely receptionists, cool nurses and the drs I've seen have been excellent. During this pandemic and with only telehealth available I called about a serious matter and wondered what I should do. They got me in, saw a Dr right away and a script for my antibiotics that day. Shame that general appointments are few and far between, but that is the case in all medical centres in the Mountains
Don’t go here if your sick, they won’t see you ! You have to wait a minimum of two weeks to see a Doctor , and that’s if your lucky. You could die waiting for all they care. It’s badly run with no idea of what’s most important when running a public medical centre in a close knit community. I recently had a booking for 8,30 on a Saturday morning, when I got there at 8.15, I was told at 8.40 that I hadn’t been booked in and could not see a Doctor, this was despite them sending me confirmation via a text message two days prior. The poor receptionist did all she could to get me in, but was told by the doctor to tell me to go to Katoomba Hospital ! The place is an absolute joke. I was also to.d that I would receive a telephone call from the centres manager to explain to me how they got it so wrong. Guess what ? I’m still waiting. I won’t be going back, there are better doctor in near bye Wentworth Falls, and I’ll be making sure all my family and friends do the same.
Amazing practice, we are extremely lucky to have access to this kind of care and to all those posting 1 star reviews, your entitlement is incredible. The reception staff will treat you with respect if you do the same and if you had to wait a little longer for your appointment, its because each patient is given the time and attention their situation requires. If everything ran exactly on time it wouldn't be long before you were rushed out the door and then I'm guessing you'd be here complaining about that instead.
Whilst I receive the best possible care and attention from my regular wonderful doctor at the clinic, and have found the staff to be nothing but helpful & lovely, I have to agree with Malcolm Sim who gave a one star review after seeing Dr Coghill. I had the misfortune of seeing him once too, when I couldn't get in quickly to see my regular doctor, so took the first available. appointment. It was a simple matter of getting a repeat script. Not so simple, apparently. Was treated to breathtaking arrogance and a supercilious lecture about his unasked for opinions on alternative therapies. Recommend the clinic highly - just not this medico. Great bedside manner Dr C - NOT!
BEST staff, including reception, nurses and doctors. Always professional, courteous and considerate.
Very disappointing experience. Their open hours are from 7:30am. I called every 15 minutes until 11am and then decided to walk there which took 40 minutes. After lining up, I was informed that they are not taking new patients. Being out of town, I was recommended this place by a close friend as they told me that they provide excellent customer service. They failed to deliver .
