They told me I need a script to get something to relieve my dizziness/vertigo. I’ve had vertigo on and off for my whole life and have always been able to go to a nearby chemist and get something over the counter when I need temporary relief. I need something to relieve my dizziness right now, 7:30pm on my Mums birthday and we have $200 worth of takeaway in the car to take home to the family and I’m suppose to go and find a doctor that can see me now for some immediate relief? What a joke. Trinity medical centre far more helpful, save yourself the trouble and go there.

Went to this chemist 8pm today 8/9/2022 to get my Medicare card and photocopy attested as a pharmacist is listed on the National Police Checking Services I told the lady behind the counter that fit2work has said the easiest way to get your Medicare details attested was with a pharmacist. She very condescendingly says, "or the Justice of Peace." So I asked her why would they say pharmacist and she says they should NOT have said that. She then went to the chemist in charge for the night who refused to sign off. The chemist didn't personally say it to me or even look at me but this lady came back to me and said that the available chemist will not do it. I said I would call and come back tomorrow and I was straight away told not to call and to go to another chemist. Very rude and impolite.

It truly pains me to write this review as normal visits to United Chemist Paralowie are always otherwise pleasant. I visited the chemist today to fill some scripts, one of which was from the hospital. Lindy served me, and I think she could benefit from some compassion and people skills/customer service skills. I didn’t realise that two pieces of paper were required for the hospital script, I simply thought the hospital was giving two separate scripts. Lindy kindly alerted me to this, however when I questioned her about further, things did not go so well. I asked about the two pieces of paper, she said “one is for you, and one is for us” quoting her words. I then sought further clarification asking why I needed to bring both pieces if one was for me anyway, her responses grew quite short and abrupt stating “because you do”. She then proceeded to hold up and wave around a bundle of other customer scripts and then demonstrated how in a usual non hospital script there are two copies. Ok, thank you, I completely understand now after this explanation, but the delivery of her responses indicated being incredibly defensive and not geared towards impressive customer service. Lindy you did not know this, but this week for my family has been very challenging, and I was at the hospital all night with my husband, watching him in agony and unable to help him. All I needed from you was compassion and understanding with my questions, and instead I was made to feel like a bad person for asking constructive questions. I truly hope the elderly and vulnerable are better looked after as this would be a difficult interaction for them if they had asked the same simple questions. I didn’t mind going home to get the second piece of paper, I was not aggressive and there was no need to become defensive and abrupt. Everyone else during my encounter today, including Natasha and the two pharmacists were lovely and I sincerely thank them for their help.

Sought expert advice from pharmacist over the phone which felt like I'd phoned an enemy. I was badgered for speaking too loud !, my questions about certain products were ignored, I had to repeat myself a number of times while breaking my question apart in several different fashions and was offered no guidance, assistance or any alternatives relating to my enquiry. I felt the pharmacist was dismissive of me altogether and adding to that was her rude remarks at me which I found overall to be unfriendly, unhelpful and totally unprofessional.

I leave my prescriptions there and just call call to get them filled. Good customer service and advice and friendly staff always willing to help. Good specials available too.

Been a few times out of necessity. A female staff member questioned whether I had seen a doctor to treat a rash with OTC meds that are in the isles - not behind the counter I hadn't but I knew what I needed and they didn't want to sell it to me. She yelled out to another lady working and continued to humiliate me for about 5 minutes before I told her to stick it and I ended up going to a pharmacy around the corner no questions asked - they didn't feel the need to treat me like crap. The second bad encounter with this place a male staff member approached to ask if I wanted help in the vitamin/supplement area I was searching. I told him I was looking for fenugreek, he asked why so I told him it was to stimulate milk supply and again, he was wary to give it to me, even ringing the hospital to make sure it was okay to give to breast feeding mothers it is extremely common for BF mothers to take fenugreek sups. I don't need a damn doctor's approval to buy a herb! I can go into woolies next door and buy the whole seeds and brew a tea. This place is ridiculous and I would never recommend going here unless you absolutely have to. Even then, there's a midnight chemist in the city, or one open til 9 or 10pm in Para Hills I would go to before I buy anything from these incompetent fools again.

Find staff to be quite rude when saying no to chemist brand for whatever’s on my script.

Great little Chemist with a Large varied array of Chemistry and non Chemistry Items.

Great customer service. Always served as quickly as possible and helpful in many ways! Prices are good
