I’m not an expert on Malaysian food but I wanted to try here after reading such great reviews about the Assam Laksa - it did not disappoint in flavour!nnThe place is quite simple but everything was fairly tasty - my partner had the lemon chicken which was pretty heavy on artificial colouring and flavour but not bad. The classic dishes like Laksa and Noodles would be the way to go for sure. I liked the prawn twisters too - good filling.nnWe also took some tarts and cakes home and they were nice was well. Not too expensive either so good place to hit for a quick tasty bite.
Had to try this, heard so much about it as the only place in the mountains that serves Penang Assam Laksa! Taste profile was spot on, thick sour broth was tasty. We also tried the Nasi Lemak with Chicken Rendang, Char Koay Teow and Bak Kut Teh which was my personal favourite! Will be back!
A Delicious Stop After a Hike – Worth the Wait!nnWe visited Unique Patisserie in Katoomba after our hike, and it was an amazing experience! This place is quite popular and has received great reviews on TripAdvisor, so we were excited to check it out. Even at 3 p.m., it was bustling with people, which is always a good sign.nnWe ordered for a large group, and while our food took about 40 minutes to arrive, it was definitely worth the wait. The flavours were incredible, and there was no compromise on taste at all! The different seating arrangements are cozy, with options both inside and in a back area, accommodating around 40 to 50 people comfortably.nnConveniently located right on the main street of Katoomba, it’s easy to find and close to the train station, with parking available on the back street. If you’re looking for a delicious treat after your adventure in the Blue Mountains, Unique Patisserie is a must-visit!
We had the most authentic Assam Laksa we have had in Australia. So delicious, tangy with good body and really fresh tasting. The pineapple slaps. Nice and charred Char Koay Teow, good coffee and cakes also if you don't feel like Malaysian for breakky.
Nice patisserie in Katoomba. Malaysian, cafe restaurant. Ideal seating for small groups
