Lovely location along the river bank with ample seating available. Burger was decent but my karaage chicken came barely warm and was a too little greasy. Felt like they were fried in batches then left on a heater and served when someone orders them. Their soda flavor choices are quite interesting and worth a try!
Nice location along the river in a food court-like strip although a fancy one. The staff were friendly, food was quick to come out and the burger was tasty. I also got a warm Yuzu drink that was also enjoyable. The menu is Japanese inspired. Recommended if you like burgers.
Everything fried from the menu are overcooked. They were only saved by the camera filters, actuals are much darker. It was definitely not fresh and felt it was precooked and deep fried again before serving. The Burger was good but big let down by the sides.
Terrible experience.... first they gave us the smallest portion of fish fingers and chips you've ever seen, not even enough for a toddler, and it cost $16. Four tiny fish fingers and a few chips. The box was literally half empty. I thought there had to be some mistake. Took it back to the staff and when she saw it you could tell she agreed, immediately apologised and asked the chef to add more fish. So she handled it well, at least. Eventually got the box back with a fair quantity inside then sat down to eat my Ume burger only to find it was raw inside. Didn't go back to them a second time as they had closed up by then. It's in a prime location and prices are totally fine for the location, however the quality must match the price and location. Sadly, it did not. Completely missed the mark.
The burgers were delicious. The meat was soft and tender. The flavours are all so different and wonderful. The price is definitely a reflection of the location and the quality of product. It was nice and warm even if we were sitting outside.
Surprisingly delicious burgers. While I took the more conservative choice of a beef burger the feedback on other flavours is also positive. A very busy joint even on weekends when many other outlets around on Barangaroo are closed for lunch. On weekends it's difficult to secure a table.
Not a fan of the burgers here. The ume burger feels like a slightly upgraded cheeseburger from McDonald’s. The chicken karaage burger was not bad, though there’s nothing to write home about. The renkon crisps tastes pretty good, but it’s not as crispy as it should be.
I came here for the chicken burger based on recommendation from Time Out. If this is ‘one of the best burgers in Sydney’ Sydney doesn’t have very many good burgers. I don’t mind spending $15 for a good one, but for that price I would expect a single large piece of chicken rather than what I got: three small separate chunks on a supermarket-grade bun. The chips and onion rings were quite good but overall pretty disappointing.
I went ti this place with my girlfriend to try Japanese burger. Since we weren't hungry, we ordered fish burger with chips n onion rings and asaki. This place is reasonably priced considering its location. The fish burger was good however the chips n onion rings weren't that good.
Found this burger joint along Darling Harbour. Ordered the Ume burger which is strongly recommended. Good size patty and cooked just right without being too dry.
