Clean restaurant, friendly staff and decent but not great food. I ordered the cheese burger and liked that it had pickles. The patty was a little salty and I prefer it cooked more medium than the well done it was served as. The chips were hot and crispy but a little oily. Better than fast food but not as good as other gourmet burger options.
I had a craving for classic American style burgers & Burger Project popped in mind. Conveniently located opposite Circular Quay station, it is a large space with plenty of seating. I still don't understand/taste the difference between the cheeseburger and American burger. On this occasion we ordered 6 burgers and it would have been helpful to have a note/name of the burger on the paper to indicate what is what. The only one we can identify was the chicken burger which was juicy and tasty. The beef burgers were good & meat is good quality but overly salty for my liking. Chicken bites were way over cooked and too hard. I went back to order drinks and as I had already ordered food the staff told me that she has to serve customers first before me. Am I not a customer if I have already ordered food? Personally I don't know what the big deal is with the shakes. Overall everything was decent.
burgerproject make a great burger. They have all the right ingredients, high quality beef patty cooked medium, not too much sauce, lettuce a slice of tomato. Very basic, but during these times of crazy complicated burgers made only to look good for Instagram, simple is the hero we need, even if it's not the one we deserve. Also can you guys bring back your special peri peri salt please? First it was self serve and we could go H.A.M. which, admittedly we took advantage of, so after that only staff could dispense it...but now it seems like you guys flat out don't serve it anymore?
Great burgers and shakes. Burger Patty is moist, cooked perfectly slightly pink inside with good char outside and made from a good rough ground cut. Rest of burger is good, however they do go a bit overboard on the pickle, which can over power the other flavors. Fries are great and Shakes here are nice and rich. A good chain burger store for a good quality burger.
I have eaten a lot of burgers in my life and I would say I know a thing or two about what a good burger is. Burger project is good but still not worth the money. The meat is really good as they make the mince in house, but the bun was a bit of a let down. Buns are soft and on the sweet side, if they offer a choice of different buns this place would be five stars. Chips are really good, nice and crunchy but a bit on the salty side.
I visited with my family. The store on the first floor was crowded, but it was empty because it was on the second floor. All shops in Australia are expensive but good quality. Potato shared with family. You can also drink beer, so it is recommended for those who want to drink.
Eat at your own risk!!! When you dig into the burger make sure not to bite part of any of your fingers!!!? The burgers are so indulging that makes you forget everything!!! Excellent food, highly professional staff, beautiful place worth nice view over the harbor. Definitely coming back....
Spacious and clean, came here on a Friday night after drinks and ordered a simple cheese burger with side of chips and soft drink. Burger bun looked a bit squashed but it was tasty and the chips were good too. I ordered the small soft drink but it is a bit too small for small. Still thirsty but lucky they serve free tap water here.
A temple to honor God's best horned invention. Unimaginably good burgers at a reasonable and understandable price. It took us some time to realize this is a fast food chain. Superb. They also have wine .
Went on a Sunday night for dinner. Food that was ordered were the Mushroom Burger, Spicy Katsu Chicken Burger, Large Sichuan Pepper Chips, Strawberry Soda, Housemade Iced Tea, Nuts About Chocolate Soft Serve and Blueberry Pie Soft Serve. The service was great, the place was full and the line was long. Food wait was 15 mins for Savoury food and drinks and 15-20mins for dessert as the ice cream machine had some issues. The food was ok, I felt like the Mushroom Burger had more flavour than the Spicy Katsu Chicken Burger. The Spicy Chicken Katsu Burger wasn't spicy and lacked flavour. The Strawberry Soda was nice. The Housemade Iced Tea tasted flat to me, the person I was with thought it was ok. Sichuan Pepper Chips were ok, I thought they'd taste more like Sichuan Pepper and they didn't. The Nuts About Chocolate Soft Serve had lots of flavour but the shards of Praline got stuck in the teeth and the chocolate was frozen so it was difficult to eat. The Blueberries in the Blueberry Pie Soft Serve didn't have much flavour, tasted like they were frozen Blueberries and Sauce with not much flavour. The crumb and the Vanilla Bean Ice Cream were delicious though. Wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. The rubbish was overflowing from the rubbish disposal section for a good half hour before someone came to clean it, it was hard to throw the rubbish due to the whole bench being piled with rubbish. Also I had no idea until I got my receipt that you get charged fees for paying by card which was also disappointing.
