Kids had fun and restaurant was good on site. Road works out the front still there since we were last here 8 years ago. But the whole of the gold coast is currently under construction even the playground on the water front.nKids loved the pools, some more quality checking on those wouldn't go a miss especially the spa by the restaurant pools.nCinema is fun to have. Kids also loved that. Splash Zone is awesome. Toddler pool too cold and quite deep.nThey provided quite a lot of breakfast arrival food on arrival so that was nice.nThe only other thing we thought was if Kids had wrist bands with the scan code as we were a party of 16 so was quite hard to share key cards around to let everyone in and out of the 3 diff rooms.nThe best rooms for groups and families are ground level facing the pool and bbqs to avoid all the trips up stairs.nThanks for the budget family friendly stay.
Enjoyable stay for our family. The resort had plenty to keep us entertained.nIt is out of the way as such, but in a good neighbourhood, just unfortunate there is road works out front at present.nThe restaurant was great, good breakfast & other dining options.nRooms were good, we did encounter some cockroaches which we don’t have back home, and that put a dampener on things, but apart from that, our room was comfortable for a weeks stay.nPools were fun, and nice to have the kids club so we could enjoy the adults only pool… very relaxing.
We had 5 nights as an extended family in 3 apartments.nThe rooms were pretty good and the amenities for families were nice.nBeds were comfortable.nnDidn't give a higher rating based on the limited consumables in the rooms, and a small fee for restocking. Felt it could have been a bit more generous.
Great place for a family to stay, pools were too cold for me but the kids didn't mind. We loved the restaurant, cinema and friendly staff : 5 other cafes and restaurants within walking distance. be prepared to replenish your toilet paper and other essentials, our room was not touched the whole we were there. An hour on the bus to the theme parks. Being winter I wish we'd just stayed closer to the parks.
Great resort with mostly seemingly happy and friendly staff. The food was pretty good too. In fact, the lamb chops at the lunch buffet were probably the best I have ever enjoyed. They need to back off a bit on the beach police red flag stuff though. Every day, sometimes twice, we had to walk east down the beach, nice sand by the way past 6 or 7 other resorts down to the end to go for a swim in water over my head. Also, they claim that use of catamarans is free to guests but the guy I spoke to at the water sports shack did everything in his power, including lie to dissuade me. It looked rehearsed. Claimed the guy playing in the water 15 feet from shore he was waving hand signals at was the boss and he made the decisions what guest wasn’t lying about having sailing experience but he was going on lunch in 10 or 20 minutes for maybe 30 minutes or possibly 1 hour but you wait way over there by the sail boats on the beach because maybe yes maybe no, even with a yellow flag, it was too calm so wait till boss finishes lunch till the weather passes what weather? He just finished saying it was too calm Accused me of lying because other guests have right in front of my wife and even asked her if I was telling the truth that I have been sailing for decades and am highly experienced. I didn’t come down there at a thousand dollars a day to prove to guys I don’t know that I am not a liar and I could easily sail circles around all of them so I just let it go. They offered to take me on a sail ride which would be like offering me a pony ride when I have ridden thoroughbreds up the side of BC mountains. So no. Maybe the concern is tip is a little smaller if you sail yourself? No risk if you don’t let the boats out. Other than that, the resort was nice.
