Story

Turtle Beach Resort provides premier family accommodation set in a sub-tropical oasis just 300 metres to the beach. Truly a relaxing holiday home, the resort offers spacious one, two and three bedroom fully self contained apartments in a 3 storey walk up complex (please note we do not have lifts on site).
Facilities include flat screen televisions and complimentary Foxtel channels.
All apartments have balconies and terraces that overlook tropical greenery and manicured gardens.

Take advantage of the extensive recreational facilities including a multitude of swimming areas with a mix of lagoon and lap swimming pools, waterslides, spa's, an adults only pool and spa, Putt'n Around* our 15 hole themed putt-putt course, children's playground, 2 saunas, floodlit tennis court*, fitness room, games room*, 8 BBQ areas and FREE WiFi access. For those who prefer a slower pace, soak up the relaxed poolside atmosphere or send the kids to the cinema theatrette. Enjoy a woodfired pizza at our onsite restaurant ‘The Deck’ or pick up supplies and a fresh coffee or smoothie at our onsite convenience store 'Fresh and Tasty' which also features a wide range of grocery items and souvenirs.

Turtle Beach Resort has designed a holiday program especially for the kids, packed with lots of fun activities to compliment our facilities. Club Turtle* is for kids aged four to twelve inclusive where they can choose to sit in and watch or join in the pre-arranged activities including creative art and craft sessions, big screen Wii interactive games, an Xbox only designated room for the game players, as well as party theme nights with Disco and Movies screenings.

Our Exciting water playground ‘Splash Zone” features 4 water slides, 2 toddler slides, dumping bucket, water cannons and lots more.

Despite seeing mixed reviews of Turtle Beach, we were pleasantly surprised. Yes rooms are a bit dated but was clean and had everything you need. Showers were great and a bonus that two bathrooms for the family. Appreciated washing machine and dryer in rooms, heat pump worked well. Beds could have been a bit more comfortable. Nice quiet room and kids loved the pools, splash park was exciting for the kids until they realized how cold the water was, would be a five star if the splash park was heated water but I guess that depends on the time of year you visit.nKids really enjoyed kids club on the visit they had. All in all a great place to stay with supermarket, butcher and liquor store close by, highly recommend and would definitely return.
However, the service was very poor. We received no induction or information upon arrival, and there was no storage available for early check-ins.nnThe biggest issue was that we booked a room for a couple with a baby, yet the room didn’t include a high chair or a baby cot. Instead, they wanted to charge an extra $10 per day to hire one, even after we had already spent a significant amount on our stay.nnThey only provided two rolls of toilet paper for an entire week, a very limited number of dishwasher tablets and other basic supplies, and just two towels for the entire stay. When I asked for replacements, I was told there would be an additional charge. None of these extra costs or limitations were clearly disclosed during the booking process.nnTo be honest, they should remove the word “Resort” from their name, because the level of service falls well short of what most people would expect from a resort.nnThe only real highlight was the pool area. The pools were excellent, and even in the middle of winter we were able to enjoy swimming outdoors thanks to the heated facilities.nnOverall, it was a disappointing experience. While the facilities have potential, the poor service, unexpected extra charges, and lack of basic amenities made it feel like poor value for the money.
We recently booked a one-week stay at this resort as a family of four with two small children, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived.nnThe property was nowhere near the standard presented online. The resort appeared tired, poorly maintained, and far removed from the polished marketing imagery. Honestly, the photos used in advertising seem heavily edited and do not accurately reflect the reality of the establishment.nnAfter a brief walk through the resort grounds and an underwhelming lunch, we made the decision not to even check in and instead booked accommodation elsewhere on the Gold Coast.nnThe location was also far from ideal. The resort sits on a busy road with very little atmosphere or surrounding lifestyle options. If you want to get anywhere worthwhile, you will be relying on Ubers or public transport constantly.nnWhat made the situation worse was the lack of flexibility or understanding from staff regarding the concerns raised. No refund or meaningful resolution was offered, despite the significant difference between expectation and reality.nnBoth our family and extended family ultimately took our holiday spending elsewhere to other hotels on the Gold Coast, where we had a far better experience.nnI would strongly caution families against relying purely on the marketing material when booking this property. In our opinion, you can achieve a much better family holiday, with better facilities and better value for money, staying in Surfers Paradise or elsewhere on the Gold Coast.
We had a 10 day stay from the 28th of April till the 8 of May we booked 4 family units on paying and booking more than three months in advance we requested a ground floor unit for our elderly parents it cost us an extra $400 to secure one which was disappointing but did get what we requested . The units were clean and tidy and comfortable and the kids enjoyed the water parks the breakfast pack given on arrival at no extra cost and made it easy for your first morning . However the park is not in anyway disability friendly which I think for today's need of families with a disabled child is disappointing. Most things come at an extra cost such as tennis put put golf and kids club. The coffee shop on the grounds was nice for a quick meal drink or cocktail the pools were clean as were the grounds but did not have lifeguards . Each unit is given one parking space on site but if you have a high car you have to take your chances on the street or the three parking spaces on site. We had a lovely time there and enjoyed our holiday thank you and would recommend it for families we will be back
My family and I have just spent 6 nights in a 3 bedroom apartment .nWe found it was a lovely stay.nGreat apartment , great facilities , the front of house crew were lovely and very helpful.nThe crew at the Deck restaurant were brilliant, great food and service, kids loved the pools and splash zone.nThe shuttle was great too get to the theme parks , and the driver is awesome !nAll in all, bloody excellent!nCheers for the stay, we'll definitely be back in a few years
