Nobby Beach Holiday Village

Worst place we have ever stayed - AVOID!! Having stayed at "Holiday Parks" all over Australia with our children, and having backpacked all over the world.... we can quite honestly say this is THE WORST place we have ever stayed, and this is reflected in the low vacancy rates of the place for a weekend in February. We were put in a cabin directly opposite the male toilet/shower block which is lit up with huge fluorescent lights all night long, and shines directly into the cabin, despite the blinds which are inadequate. We got NO sleep the first night due to the light shining directly in, so went to reception when it opened to ask if we could please be moved to a different cabin (as there were many many other vacant cabins available). The woman (Anna) on reception was beyond rude and has no concept of the term "customer service". She basically laughed in our face and said we were making it up and refused to move us as she said she didn't want to arrange for the room to be cleaned, and that no one else had ever had a problem (despite there being evidence, of which I have photographs, of previous guests having tried to tape the blinds down to help alleviate the problem). We were a young family who were clearly exhausted and distressed but no help was given - all our requests to move rooms were refused, our requests to speak to the manager directly ourselves were refused, our requests for a refund of the remaining night to go somewhere else were refused. When we said we would post a review on here to let others know of the problem, she merely laughed and said she would post a reply saying that we were making it up..... This whole experience of no sleep and appalling staff behaviour has ruined my children's birthday holiday and left us devastated. I am writing this review in the hope that it stops other families from having such a negative experience. Holiday money for special family time is hard earned and time together is precious...... there are hundreds of other similar priced accommodation options on the Gold Coast who understand this and offer fabulous customer service to their GUESTS - we recommend you stay away from Nobby Beach Holiday Village!! (Photograpic evidence of all of the above is available and can be provided upon request) On a side note - exposed electrical wires hanging out of a wall in the kitchen is also not ok!!

This was one of the worst holidays ever, walked into cabin and floor was dirty, bunk beds unmade and it was smelly!! Tried to overlook it and enjoy our stay but it got worse, wifi didn't work, the sinks kept backing up (gross) and when the cleaners came to change the linen midweek I asked for a mop and bucket to wash the floor...they were obviously scared to give me one but told the manager who very rudely asked me why...I said because the floor was filthy and he became very rude...dropped one off so I could mop the floor but left it for 3 more days...office staff need training in customer care not very good at their job at all....and don't believe the photo gallery....

Very friendly and clean. Beds weren't made when we got there. Hot water takes too long. Floor mat inside back door would be good. Slide was awesome. Will go back. Cheers

Resort itself was very fun for the kids... we stay in a house for 10 people. And where very disappointed that not only did the shower door not shut/latch, but there eas no oven. And no directions on how to operate the cook top... over priced i believe
