What a gem of a place to stay! I admit the town isn't much but the Lodge is a great place to stay. We were doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing so we needed a place to stay nearby. The accommodations were incredibly roomy and clean. Very comfortable, large bathroom and shower. The bedroom was upstairs in a loft which provided a lot of privacy. There's a game room and hot tubs we didn't use the tubs. Short walking distance to the shuttle for the trek. Nicole at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Would totally stay there agin!
It’s good experience staying here, exceeded our expectations, the room is clean and cosy during our stay, kitchen has dishwasher and oven is very handy, out door area is large and tidy, they have mini golf and game room for the kid , and a indoor spa pool and outdoor swimming pool as well. It’s a small town and it’s right next to the town centre. Would love to stay here again.

I see they have been recently renovated, they could have put double glazing on the side facing SH1. Compound needs a tidy up.nnOtherwise we where happy and would stay again if we could get a unit not facing SH1
A fun little motel with a cold water pool and very spacious rooms. We only stayed a night but it seemed much more designed for multi-night stays with families. They had a BBQ which was being used, and plenty of space to some ball games for children. We didn't partake and used the spacious lounge in the room to chill out. We had an oven microwave which was great. Bed was comfy and everything was very clean. Parking was easy with allocated large spaces for each room. Location was great and walkable to many takeaways and restaurants. A New World is also walkable to stock up on food. A great stop off location for us to do rafting before moving on south. A few comments suggest it is dated, but I thought it was just fine. Only negative was the spa assume a hot tub? was broken and was planned to be fixed, but that was no problem. Reception staff lovely and helpful. Highly recommend for the price
We stayed in a classic apartment that was both clean and spacious. While the bathroom felt a bit dated, it’s clear the rooms are undergoing renovations. The location is perfect for exploring Tongariro National Park, though Turangi itself is fairly quiet with limited activities.
