Good service, easy going staff. This cafe has a nice indoor and outdoor dining area, offers a very good atmosphere. Good sunlight in the mornings. Food prices are fair for serving portions. Coffee is good too. Parking: Street
Local cafe for us. Great coffee! I had the crumpets with bacon and friend had the Big Breakfast. Generous portion, and it was tasty! Great presentation too. Would be back to try the salad bowl
I came to try this place out the other morning, it was a bit of an average experience, not great, but not terrible. The location is really nice, and gets some lovely sun in the morning, and the speed at which I received my food was great, but the food I ordered was nothing spectacular. The oat milk hot chocolate tasted like it was made with cheap powder and water and the haloumi roll was flavourless and overdone with rocket. Maybe I just got a dud meal I'm not sure, but being vegetarian limits my options quite a lot, so when the haloumi roll is bad, it's quite disappointing. I've worked in hospitality for quite a few years and I understand it's not possible to be peppy and enthusiastic all day, everyday for customers, I get it, sometimes it just doesn't happen, but if the servers were even just a little bit friendly and approachable I probably would have given this place another go and tried something different off the menu, but for now, I'm going to try my luck with other local cafes.
great coffee, very cute atmosphere and lovely staff !! also the cinnamon scroll is delish. i especially love the dog polaroid wall they have going on it’s adorable
Local gem that has lots of indoor and outdoor space, yet you still better get there early to get a seat. Love the bookcase that leads to a separate part of the cafe! Little Marionette coffee is a favourite of mine and I always smile when I find a place that does it justice. Food is great as well, the ham and cheese croissant was delicious. Can’t wait to come back for more!
Loved the vibe of this place. Great coffee, food, and service
We had a brunch visit to Trafalgar Street Espresso with our friend Pete and Rob which gave us the opportunity to try a range of dishes at Trafalgar Street Espresso in Annandale. A quiet little street houses this corner cafe that has quaint interiors with a cool wall of books, leather couches and plenty of space to sit inside or out. Chef Felix Stawman’s has put together a tasty snd approachable food menu, that is wholesome, seasonal and served with beautiful presentation on the plate. We know it’s good from word of mouth and evidenced by the popularity of the cafe on our visit. We try a few of the breakfast and lunch options and there’s also a specials menu on the day. Breakfast wise, we sampled the morning glory breakfast bowl, which could easily be consumed at lunch as well. The bowl filled with sautéed kale, roasted tomato, broccoli, quinoa, green hummus, house pickles and a poached egg. From the lunch menu, we share the Haloumi salad, which has small strips of Hapuna mixed with pickled radish, kale, roasted cauliflower, rocket, house made sukkah and topped with a fried egg! A beautiful dish was presented to us, their “Burnt corn, zucchini & halloumi fritters, which were so flavoursome, soft and a nice char. They were decorated with the pickled radish and soft herb salad, whipped ricotta and a poached egg They also have rolls and burgers, avocado, fruit bowls, chia bowl and bread by the bread and butter project. The front counter in addition to an outstanding coconut, blueberry and banana muffin! Coffee by The Little Marionette, a full-bodied blend, and fresh filter roasts with the house blend featuring notes of caramel and chocolate with light citrus fruit tones and balanced acidity.
I've been meaning to visit here for aaages, finally made it today and completely regret taking so long to check it out. Great food, had the eggplant and avocado toast - massive portion and super tasty. Zesty, tangy and just wonderful. Staff were also lovely and the decor and library room is just a joy to sit in on a Sunday morning. Will be back for sure!
superb coffee, great selection of pastries including gluten-free, if this is important for you, down to earth friendly humans who run the place, an awesome atmosphere, quirky aesthetics, and comfy sofas to sink into! the attached photo shows only one of the rooms, but the whole place is considerably larger. go on, head over, you know you want to! i’ll certainly make it a regular haunt.
Small, quiet cafe that serves a delicious reuben toastie and latte. Customer service was great and they even let me do some work on my laptop. An electrical is available for use as well. Would definitely come back again!
