My son aged 21 was buried in the Wuth Lawn 26 years ago. For the most of this time I found the staff both admin and grounds to be professional with the way in which the grounds were kept and the empathy they had for the families of those who have paid to have their loved ones buried there. However, during the last couple of years I have found this wonderful service has slipped considerably. I presume new management. It was a move in the right direction when signs were placed around the grounds giving us plenty of notice about “park clean-ups”, which enabled us time to remove flowers/ornaments so the work could be carried out. The last clean-up was approximately one month ago. I placed artificial flowers at my son’s headstone less than 2 weeks ago in readiness for his birthday, knowing there were no planned “park clean-ups” advertised. Today I visited my son’s grave and it was obvious the grounds had been mowed very, very recently, some sites were whipper snipped but not all including my son’s grave yet most of the flowers removed, obviously by the grounds staff for mowing, but not returned. The bright blue flowers I placed would have still been in very good order. We did not get notice it was going to be a “park cleanup”. It was my understanding that flowers in good condition would be placed back after mowing when it wasn’t a park clean-up. This did not happen and it hasn’t been the first time the same has occurred. came here today visit my grandma violet nothdurft need get new headstone old one is wearing out rip grandma its sad no other family has come 1st one put flowers in 26 years
My daughter has had her resting place at The Garden of Remembrance for 10 years now. We have visited weekly all those years and for the most part the maintenance of the gardens has always been wonderful. But I have to say, over the past couple of years the standard has shifted. My daughters memorial garden was watered regularly and was surrounded by lush green grass. I use to bring clippers to trim the edges between mows, but now it just surrounded by red dirt. Very disappointing
Visit every Sunday. The grounds very poorly maintained. Have to do our own weeding, and try to keep on top of keeping the grass from growing over the head stone. I know the weather hasn't been great, but come on !!! It hasn't rained non stop. I still can manage to get my mowing done. Even the Toowoomba Drayton cemetery can get theirs done . We went to have a look and it looks 100% . Once again had to do our own whipper snipping, weeding, and tidying up as Head Stones over grown. Disgusting and Disrespectful. Couldn't even have it looking nice for Mothers Day . 8th May 2022. No star rating.
This place was The Garden of Remembrance in the 80s and 90s. Now it's more like the The Garden of Weeds, most of them up 30cm high. New Management of this place just don't care about what the ground looks like or the money people have put in to it. My visit on Sunday and every other Sunday was very disappointing. The weeds need to be sprayed, which would cost less than half of a burial and not just mowed when they mow it. Management needs to step up or be removed.
My Dad and my family visit regularly. My mother's ashes rest near the waterfall. It is a beautiful tranquil place of beauty. The wind moves through the trees and the sound of the trickling water is very serene. The shade and colourful well maintained gardens are perfect. It is fun counting the hares, arranging her flowers and sharing with her precious memories. We know in future it will be a place where we will be able to visit them both.
Beautifully kept. Amazing that the gardens look so good while there are stray bunny rabbits. We love to ride our bikes through the little roads and bypass the lovely water features. You can enter from front or back near crematorium.
Beautifully maintained while visiting love ones
