My friend Ashan and I did the Duck and Dive package with Tongariro River Rafting, and from the 12:00 pm meeting point to the finish around 3:30–4:00 pm, we had one of the best experiences we’ve ever had in New Zealand. The coordination for this package could be improved a little — ideally with a 10:00 am skydiving start or preferably an evening skydive after rafting — but honestly, we couldn’t fault the rafting experience itself.nnOur guide Hick was amazing, and the whole team behind the scenes took fantastic care of us. The photos they captured were beautiful, and the entire experience felt absolutely worth the price. This is real value for money, with genuinely valuable people running the show. Thanks for the opportunity to jump off a cliff, spot trout, hear stories about wildlife and rapids, and enjoy what felt like a VIP tour down a stunning 12 km river packed with excitement.
Non-stop class 3 rapids on the Tongariro! A very efficient experience, no long slow paddling sections. Our guide Sam was the best! Friendly, talkative, full of history and nature stories. Base camp operations were exceptionally organized, with big locker rooms for changing and storing stuff. Ella took some fabulous photos of us through the splashy rapids too! Highly recommend.
This was an amazing experience for the whole family. We were a family of four. 2 adults and 2 children, 12 and 14yo And it was the most perfect morning out. It was an experience that I was pretty nervous about, but the staff put me at ease straight away and as soon as we were on the water any nerves I had were gone. Our instructor Stefan was very experienced, up for a great time and clear with his instructions. When we weren’t tackling the rapids, he told us interesting things about the river area including geology facts and about the wildlife that we saw. We were all extremely warm with the good quality gear they provided. Both my boys enjoyed jumping in the river when Stefan allowed them to do it. I would highly recommend this experience, it is one we won’t forget.

Hello, our group of three took a rafting trip with Ella as our guide and I must say this was easily my favorite part of our trip to New Zealand. The views were gorgeous and Ella was an excellent host on the river--knowledgable, easy to get along with and a chipper attitude that made everyone smile. I have nothing but good things to say about this rafting company! Thank you for a memorable experience.nnFor those looking to book, it'll be handy to know that this tour equips you with multiple wetsuit layers: a fleece, wetsuit, rain jacket and wetsuit socks. We went on a chill morning but were insulated from the cold water.
