Could not recommend Tombstone lodge more!! Very clean and comfy rooms, close to everything and lovely hosts. The scones were life changing. Big thanks to Gaz for putting new grips on the bike!
Stayed in an ensuite queen room, there is a shared balcony provided as well, and room size was decent. Hot scones provided during breakfast were very delicious! Free milk and coffee/tea throughout the day. Overall, it was a very comfy stay for the night after a long ferry ride. Check out the lodge facilities if one is staying longer.
Ideal location for the ferry. Our room had it's own bathroom and balcony. There is a large dining room, 2 lounges, games room,gym, hot tub and large kitchen. Toast and scones are available for breakfast which are absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this motel.
Stayed for one night and just booked another 10 for December. It's one of the best places I've been to – more than just a hostel. The owner is incredibly nice, super friendly, and makes scones for breakfast every morning. There's a lot of entertainment available like table tennis and a piano. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. Can't wait to visit again.
What a gem is this motel. Very clean, modern room with the best shower so far we had in motels or hotels in NZ. The kitchen area is very well equipped and the terrace in the sun makes it complete. Very kind host and a lovely scone breakfast in the morning. If we travel again via Picton we come again.
