My family have been using Tokaanu ski shop for years now and they've always had great pricing on all their hire gear plus very friendly and honest service. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs to be fitted out with any ski/snowboard equipment or clothing (adults or children) or have their own ski/board equipment serviced. I think most people are missing out when they don't realise it's only a 5 minute detour off State Highway 1 from Turangi to see for themselves.

The customer service was great and the snowboard and boots I hired worked excellently. The shop prices are much more reasonable than at the whakapapa shop.

I had a great day up the mountain, the boots were very comfortable (it's usually difficult to find the right size boot for me!) the staff were very good and enlightening 😊

Fast, friendly and efficient!  If you are coming from the northern direction, it's only 3 minutes after the intersection turn off to Ruapehu. Well worth a visit to avoid the queues at Whakapapa.

Awesome friendly service, went out of their way to help the snow bunnies and cafe chillers in our group!  When we head down this winter we will be calling in again to partake in the best service around!!
