A small but popular New World store that has most of the items you require. A  convenient place for the tourists passing through to do the Alpine Crossing.

The usual New World supermarket but at Christmas time it’s just too small. Not enough checkouts as lines extend to back of shop. The owner seems to be aware of the issue as he travels the lines handing out sweets but really they simply made the store too small. Most of the staff are friendly.

Do not like the store layout - feels like a bit of a rabbit warren, and tired.  Fresh food/deli food not so flash either

I visited this supermarket twice, and I throughly despise it. Will not visit again. Would much rather use a New World in Taupō I’m that disgusted. The staff, especiallly the manager have horrible attitudes and the building is too small and cramped. DO NOT VISIT.

This New World supermarket closes at 8pm. Very early. Not 9pm as I read that from somewhere. Take note if u are planning to buy supplies for your hikes.
