Aboriginal culture is alive and thriving in this modern cultural centre located in park-like surroundings. Here you will discover the heart and soul of Australia. There's a gallery of unique indigenous art where 'traditional meets modern' and an exhibition of local crafts, and hands-on activities (including spear and boomerang throwing). The dancing show is very interactive and loads of fun. The facilities are world class and the guides are knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable. Tjapukai is one of the best places to visit while in Cairns.

I have a great interest in Aboriginal culture and this place blew me away. There is many displays to look at including a dance performance and guided experiences to take part in including boomerang & spear throwing, learning about bush foods and their rituals. There is a variety of experiences that are offered as extensions which I did both the creative experience & bush tucker & medicine walk which included lunch ($30) and afternoon tea.

I joined the Night fire event. Not so crowded in week days, and if you book online you can save 10% off. The performance quite nice, friendly artist and you can join them with some dances, face painting, etc. The dinner buffet is delicious. In overall, quite expensive for 2.5 hrs programe but worth to visit.

Loved the show but it was too short. The food was delicious and covers every diet and lifestyle that one might be on. The first show was spectacularly displayed and presented. The animation, acting and projectors were perfectly synced. The only issue was that the microphones weren't working properly so barely heard anything. However you can understand what's going on because of the video. I would suggest that they equip the dinning area with a theme to feel more involved with the whole Aboriginal experience.

Had a beautiful time. Came twice. First was for the dinner experience. Amazing evening with drinks and dinner. First time eating crocodile, was amazing. Second day we came to learn to throw a boomerang and paint one. Had a great time with our guide Jacob!
