The team at the Mac shop Launceston were very friendly and helpful when I went into the store yesterday. Even though I was unsure of the specific item to suit my needs, their knowledge of products ensured my purchase met my requirements. I had done an internet search for the item I thought might suit me, and I was surprised that the Mac shop had a lower price than the major chain stores. At no time were the staff dismissive of my limited knowledge of electronics. They must have received excellent training in dealing with ‘elderly luddites’! I was very pleased with the service. Highly recommend this team.
Fantastic service for recent iMac repair, friendly staff, great communication - thank you!
Professional and knowledgeable staff. Fantastic customer service. One happy customer here!
Great service and a very honest assessment of the problem and successfully repair and data migration. Happy customer
Older staff in shop quite helpful.
iPhone vibration motor was loose in the phone this was a replacement phone I got from here. Took phone in no estimate on time would take to resolve please watch out they will take your device Do as they please and bill you Went to pick up the phone they explained that it was an issue with a lose Taptic Engine and they’re tightened it up then they tried to charge me $90 stating that Apple didn’t pay them for labour. I asked if it wasn’t coverd under warranty and consumer law, they came back and waved the fee bacause it was. I wish Apple service providers weren’t so shady and were up front.
I went to this shop today to see what I could do as I had a brand new out of the box iPhone 8, that asked me for a passcode during setup. I had googled the problem and entered the default passcodes as per advice only to be disabled. The young man at the counter said he could help by restoring settings, I had nothing to lose as I hadn’t used it, to be told it was cost $59 for a reset. What a joke. The phone cost $1300 and has not been used, it’s still disabled but I wasn’t going to pay that for a plug in.
Got my first MacBook from here. It's awesome, really helpful with school work. All my friends have gotten their devices from the Mac Shop, no complaints here about service, or quality.
Bought M1 Mac air 2 weeks ago and still in 12 months warranty from Apple. After consulting with Apple online support that my issue a single key doesn't perform well can be fixed for free within Australian consumer law and Apple guarantee with this shop which got sent by Apple to my email But I went in the shop today and got quoted $59 dollars! So I go back to Appleonline and they are able to provide me a free service with their postage service interstate and can be posted back in 3-5 business days. * Full dialogue with Apple support can be provided/ requested including my suspicion of fingernails for both of my consultation with MAC. * When quoted, i wasn't informed $59 was a POTENTIAL cost at all but instead a certain fee which covers the technician rate + insurance with Mac incase anything breaks during this examination according to your junior technician. * M1 model just got released within a month, how would a MAC profession not knowing that it's still in 12 months warranty covered by Australian consumer law ?
They are very helpful and they suggested to wait on replacing battery on iphone 6s untill it gets below the 80% health by July as that's when the consumer rights on puducts ends to get battery replaced free instead of pneeding to pay $90 I'm sure they would do the same for anyone else that comes in with same or similar issue or something entirely different.
