Visited The Witchin’ Kitchen in Shorncliffe on a recommendation from a local friend, Kathy Speare, and it was a great choice. Pauline and I took my mum there for breakfast and I had the chilli scrambled eggs, which were delicious. Friendly service, cosy atmosphere and a lovely spot to start the day.
OMG WOW, what can I say.....everything was amazing!!!!!! The pancakes were the fluffiest and most delicious I have ever had gluten or otherwise and then the topping was just an added deliciousness. We also had the cherry ripe which was amazing and a passionfruit meringue tart, oh what can I say about that.. the whole thing was perfect perfect amount of filling and meringue ratio and the pastry WOW WOW WOW. My daughter has coeliac and I know how difficult it is to make GF work well. I want to quit my job and go and work there to learn their secrets. Will be going there again and again
Food was fairly good with the exception of the kids pancakes. As you can see in the photo, one is good the other is half burned. Pretty lazy to not just make another pancake. Most adults would not eat that so why would a child? Would have been a 5 star otherwise.
Came to try the Bruce, and got more than I hoped for. Tasty breakfast had the soft chive scramble and a selection of cakes to go. What made it special was that every member of the team was joyful, made eye contact, constantly checking on every table and even made time for a quick chat. It was busy and they just made it all work with their beautiful energy! Kudos to the team!
Delicious I would like to go on a weekend to see what cakes etc they have in the window. I am a lover of lemon meringue and this was the best one I’ve had so far.
