Met my Mum from Redcliffe here in Sandgate. We heartily enjoyed our delicious waffles and pots of jasmine green tea. What a gorgeous view too! We loved every minute of our visit!nProbably need a little ramp into the entrance, that was all.
Best coffee I’ve had in Sandgate. Good quality food made well. Inside and outside seating. Good selection of food on offer. Very expensive breakfast food. Great location. Quite refreshing to not have a EFTPOS surcharge. We will be back.
I really enjoyed my breakfast here after a walk along the beach. I was glad that I rang and booked a table in advance as it was on a Saturday. To my delight, we were placed next to the window with a view. Jenny who took our orders were attentive. My bacon was crispy as requested. Totally a bliss and will recommend this place to others. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
Had an amazing view of the water, sitting inside but at an open window getting the benefit of fresh air and a gentle breeze. The choice of food was a touch limited, but I think most people would find something to suit. I enjoyed a simple meal of sourdough toast and avocado, and the best strawberry thick shake I have had in a long time - creamy and full of flavour. My friend enjoyed a chicken burger and chips, with a portion so large she could not finish it all.nThe atmosphere is relaxed/beachside and the service we enjoyed today was attentive, without being intrusive. Our meal was ready quickly and we felt able to take our time and enjoy the food, location and atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Went for a Saturday morning walk along Lover's Walk and ended up at Matthew Thomas cafe'. A welcoming and warm feel to the place. I loved the decor, high ceilings and position with a view through the trees of the sea. The service was quick and personablie. The menu is fairly extensive and reasonably priced maybe a bit on the high side. Having said that, the portions were generous and well prepared. We loved our meal and the coffee was great.
