Had brunch at Baaia Cafe and really enjoyed the overall experience. We ordered a few coffees, the avo on toast, and their special prawn eggs benedict — which was actually quite interesting and delicious. The location is lovely too, right by the water with a beautiful view, making it a great spot for a relaxed brunch.nI’d also like to mention something in the hope that it helps create more awareness in hospitality. As soon as the staff member started chatting with us, the first question was “Where are you from?” followed by comments about our home country. I understand this likely came from noticing our accents, and the conversation itself wasn’t rude — I also respect that people have opinions.nHowever, when this is one of the very first questions, it can sometimes make people feel like they don’t quite belong. It’s a small thing, but it can impact how welcoming a place feels, especially in a diverse community.nOverall, still a nice place with great views and good food — just sharing this as gentle feedback for a more inclusive experience.
The best Avo ever!nnTotally unplanned and unexpected. We decided spontaneously to stop for a quick breakfast. The location, views, service, food quality worth another trip.nOh, that Avo was magical!
Stopped in to Baaia for breakfast this morning. Beautiful view over the water with matching service from friendly staff!nI would normally include photos of our meals but, sorry to say, they were that good I forgot to stop and take the obligatory photo nBig breakfast for myself, bacon and eggs your way for my partner and vanilla latte to wash it all down. Needless to say, the food was delicious!!nHighly recommend and will return for sure!
Walked along to here from the pier, was greated with the most lovely welcome. Given menus and told to take a seat. Orders were taken and delicious food arrived very quickly!
Visited here last week. Food was great, had the smashed avo on toast. Was decently portioned though it took quite a while to arrive at the table while we were the only people waiting for food there. The staffs were friendly and the food was good, well presented. Though it was a bit sad that they only have mushrooms as a option to swap with the bacon which didn’t really sound fair to me.
