We flew up from Victoria to see family and they brought us Here for dinner. Absolutely delicious. We had tapas and plenty of cocktails. Food was so good. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Saturday night and we didn't have a booking. The waitress was more that accommodating and sat us near a crackling fire which was lovely on a cold Winter's night. The pork belly and slow cooked beef cheeks with house made macadamia butter went down very well - delicious! Lovely atmosphere and staff. Highly recommended.
Charming little restaurant tucked away at the back of some shops. Worth a stop. We enjoyed a glass of the Olivers, Taranga Shiraz. Highly recommend
Absolutely stunning! Could not fault anything from the food to the service. The wine was delicious and I can't wait to go back. Prices were absolutely fair the only thing I could whinge about would be the parking can be difficult. Desserts we're delish, mains were amazing nothing was too heavy. Very happy to recommend to anyone.
Fabulous little wine bar with great food, excellent wine selection and helpful and friendly staff. Located in an unassuming location at the back of a set of shops and next to a laundromat!, this tastefully decorated and comfortable atmosphere lends itself to long meals with friends while graze through amazingly good food and get stumped by which wine to have next only to get saved by the friendly and helpful staff who were able to help us get a great wine every time. The kangaroo was simply sublime, wonderful presentation beautifully camouflage the delicately and perfectly cook kangaroo, some of the best I have ever had. We were just dropping into grab a drink and then head out elsewhere for dinner, but it was so good we ended up staying, eating until we were full and drinking more than a few glass. It was a very pleasant experience.
Apologies Wine and Barrel team, I thought I had done the reviews for this. I was here 3 weeks ago. Had such wonderful dining experience. Had the best slow cooked beef cheeks. I even told the Waitstaff, it was better than mine. And I make a very nice beef cheeks. Every dish we had at the Wine and Barrel was perfect. The ambience was also good. This place is a hidden gem in Mudgeeraba QLD thanks again Team! I will try to be back!
Very disappointed.birthday celebration. We’ve been here many times, bringing family and friends, as previously the food and service was fantastic; sadly not this time, The menu changed from a delicious variety and we felt the food was below the previous high standard, the flavours no longer sung in our mouths, although the food was cooked perfectly; the timing of the dishes was a little awkward, with the side dishes coming out on there own. We enquired if there had been a change to the kitchen staff, as it felt like an age to have our meal. The food came out as one meal at a time, so we ate individually, as there are different dietary requirements. What changed, we don’t know, but previously this was our go to, for a delightful treat.
I am so sad that we never tried this place earlier!! We loved everything - food, vibe, friendly staff, and tucked in the back of a little shopping centre. We visited at lunchtime and it wasn't packed but had a bit of a buzz. We ordered: Halloumi, pork tacos, edamame, fries, meatballs, and donuts. It was a perfect amount of food for two people. We didn't get to try any of the wine this time but we will definitely be back because the menu had way more on it that we want to taste! Highly recommend this awesome restaurant!!
We went for dinner on a Thursday, were really disappointed with the service we received. We actually ended up walking out after entrees and ordering pizza instead. We had to wait 10 mins after being seated to even get some water or drinks. The friendly staff then took our entree order around 7:15pm, and we received one dish at 7:40 then had to wait another 20 minutes for our other entree. While we were waiting for ages for our entrees, no one refilled our empty water glasses or asked us if we wanted another drink. We had to interrupt the waitress while she cleared cutlery and rearranged cushions- surely diners waiting for food and drink should take priority over cushions- to ask her for another drink. After waiting over an hour to only receive 2 entrees we left. Mind you paying $80 for the terrible service that we received. The food was okay but not worth the 1 hour wait. Really disappointed with our experience.
Fantastic range of treats and tastes available, cosy but not cramped layout, spectacular service provided. Well worth trying this eatery. Highly recommended. A great experience. Also more importantly....dog friendly!Food: 5/5
