No doubt I enjoyed looking at my beautiful cup of latte! However, being a croissant lover I enjoy driving out of my way to The Whisk for some breakfast. Got to The Whisk at 10am for late breakfast to refresh before a meeting at noon. The pastry cabinet was completely empty. Photo taken at 10:03am. I need to say, this definitely isn’t the first time, and as advertised, the store closes at 1:30PM. Can understand the business may have had a busy morning but again, this isn’t the first time this has happened…
Brilliant twist to the well known breakfast meals. Jangjang breakfast beans with chorizo are a great take on the classical breakfast favorite, with the broad beans and humus spiced up with Chinese 5 spices and very mild and tender chorizo. The service was fast and very friendly with a smile. The coffee menu boasts great section of roasters and single origin beans. Ample sitting space, great interior design and attention to detail.
Visited The whisk this morning. A little cafe/bakery tucked away from the main street. Staff were friendly and cakes on display were gorgeous. Love their pastry and will come back again.
My favorite place : I love Pears Danish but it's too hard to get when I vist there everytime Plan croissan, pice of cakes, nice coffee and Matcha latte are very nice and lovely
Soooo damn delicious!! It looked so beautiful didn’t even wanted to eat just kept on looking fr a while
This is one of the best croissants I've had in Brisbane. For $4.4 for a plain croissant this is much better than some of the other places that charge $7. I didn't try their coffee so I can't comment on that but overall good experience. Wish the opening hours were longer though. Would be a nice place to chill for coffee after lunch.
The best croissant!!! They are not too sweet, its crunchy outside and..... just delicious!
Authentic french patisserie with a twist. A selection of freshly baked croissants and danishes. Small indoor section for dine in and a few tables outside for fine weather. Popular spot most days so get in early.
A little bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it. Got a hot chocolate and it was thick and creamy unlike most places when it’s watery. Also got some food and it was amazing to say the least not from the area but would make the drive back.
It's unusual to have such an amazing fine patisserie out in the suburbs but I'm very thankful for it! The shop front is very unassuming but elegant all the same. Staff are courteous and meticulously presented. The pastries are delicate and yet indulgent, I love the ham and cheese croissants, especially if you arrive just on opening. My girls love the Petit treats which are both beautiful to look and a taste sensation. Coffee here also rivals any Cafe within 5km. I would definitely recommend a visit to The Whisk this weekend.
