In a busy shopping center it's nice to sit away from the hustle and bustle. Service was lovely, coffee so nice and eggs benny just perfect.
Ordered an iced mocha and got a very clumpy chocolate powder mess. Would have gone back but place was busy and lines were long.
Absolutely terrible. I used to come here for years and loved them but their quality has severely fallen in both food, drinks and customer service. I will not be coming back after my last visit. I received very stale and dry banana bread, burnt coffee and my husband received fresh juice that was very sour. Not to mention the service was unfriendly and cold. The tables were also filthy and the floor was covered in food. They were not busy at the time either.
Very poor customer service with bad attitude. 1. The biscuits on the plate is only half. Fine, the biscuits is free, but could you please pick up a full one rather than this one which Looks like some one had a bite. 2. The table I sit is not clean with some flies around. Considering it is a indoor cafe in Garden city. 3. When I mention these to one of the staffs. Her glacial stare and defencing response made me lost all the interest to try the coffee. - by the way no decaf available and last time was no soy milk available. Do you treat your business seriously? I am sure this is the last time here.
Staff refused to honour the 'happy hour' coffee deal. Won't be coming to this branch again and suggest others twice before visiting a place that engages in a misleading advertising campaign. Also noticed most of the tables are not cleaned regularly.
The severing was terrible , ordered a banana bread and a black coffee, they didn’t give me a butter , so I asked for a butter at the counter, the staff told me to go to the “kitchen window”to get it . The cashier told the kitchen staff I need a butter, but the kitchen staff rolled her eyes in front of me, when I get to the “kitchen window” , she put the butter in a takeaway container and just thrown it on the table. I was like what was that, so I said to her “ I’m so sorry to asked “ . And no one, I mean no one said a single word to me at all!!! So disappointed of the service, I understand it was a Saturday and very busy , but you can’t treat people like that way , right?
Pretty average cafe. I had French toast, which was very poorly done. The bread looked like it had barely touched the batter, whereas, bread that thick should soak in the batter for 1 or 2 minutes. It ended up being a slightly eggy coating on plain, slightly heated dry bread. They used fake maple syrup but put so little on the French toast that it was just barely noticeable. The syrup probably cost a few dollars per litre, they could afford to put more than 10ml on a serving at the price they charge. I've had better food there, but nothing better than average.
The food is sometimes really nice and others eggs severely undercooked. I've started getting them scrambled just because it isn't worth the hassle. But everything else is really nice and the coffee is lovely.
This place has gone from bad to worse. The chef that kept it going has obvious left. Last week we walked away because they could swap bacon for a has brown. No no, we can't do it. OK. Set menus mean turning customers away. Stupid. Today my son was with me so he could eat the bacon. Avo came out brown and scarse. Toast burnt and hard as a rock. And my son's eggs had a thick disgusting smell to them. The type of egg you prepare the day before in a bucket and then cook, coming out like a slab of meat. That was refunded. Customer service here is abrasive at best. Been coming here on and off for years but this will be the last. Shut it down and put in something with consistent good food, service and pricing.
The staff behind the counter was friendly Cappuccino is below average. Just been told in an unfriendly tone. You are not allowed to take photos. So I deleted lovely shots. The woman who spoke to me had a damaged foot very unfriendly tone
