Great coffee. I like the decor. Good use of timber and exposed brick. Small but cosy. Cheers lads.
I have been patron of this cafe for over a year. When I first went, the cafe had a lovely, homey feel, and the food presentation and taste was amazing. This year, I think there was a change of management, and steadily I've noticed a change in the quality. I always order the granola fruit bowl, which is usually okay, but today it was horrible!! The fruit was just dumped on the plate, the yogurt was not blueberry as advertised...and the staff did no inform me of any changes and I STILL paid the same price for it! No effort at all! I feel like the original feel of this cafe is gone...which is why - sadly - I will not be coming back.
Man, I dig this joint. It's taken me a while to write it but this review is a long time coming. Top shelf coffee served up by some legendary staff. Always helpful. I've only eaten there once, but I would most definitely stick my neck out for their Eggs Benedict. Next on my travels I want to try their bar out the back
Amazing food. Eggs Benny had just enough Hollandaise so you could still taste all the other ingredients. Waffles were super dank. Interior is so cool. Feels like a bar set in Nevernever Land for sure. Staff were super friendly and food came out quick. Cant wait to go back.
Mixed emotions. This is a really interesting place, with lovely friendly staff. The first coffee I had made by the cute male Canadian barista was fantastic. The second made by a different barista wasn't as good. My friend loved his belgian waffles. My vegan waffles were very crumbly, they basically fell apart on the plate, though everything that came with them was great and they get points for having labelled vegan menu options, and mega bonus points for having something that isn't avocado on toast!. I'd go back and eat there again and try different things, for sure. Maybe it was an off day for the waffles.
I was hesitant to try it after seeing some negative reviews but my god I'm happy i did this place is amazing. Great coffee and food i would go as far to say the best breakfast I've had in brisbane :D Definitely worth the visit. Triple thumbs up
The soy chai had absolutely no flavour as if the tea leafs were left to brew for 5 seconds. The bread was of very low quality. Like the kind of bread you'd get from Coles. The Poached eggs were more like hard boiled. The waffles were good a little to sweet maybe The place looks cool but the music kind of ruined the atmosphere I recognize that it's a matter of taste so it's not taken into account in my rating The staff was friendly.
To be fair, as an avid Peter Pan fan, my expectations were pretty high! A few pros: -Service was lovely. We were welcomed and waited by a young guy who could have passed for a teenage Peter Pan himself. Very friendly. -Coffee was great. -Atmosphere and decor fun and kitschy. Cons: -Food was not bad, but we waited near on 40mins for it. Respect to the fact its a pretty tiny kitchen. But 40mins is a stretch, this for me was the biggest downer. We ordered 'bean' nachos fyi it is most green bean and root veg pizza. -Amenities and general knick-knacks like forks and sugar were hard to come by. -Not really a con so much.. but the menus are a little lacking. -Also not a huge deal but fyi the breakfast ends at 12.30. A bummer for all day breakfast eaters like me : Overall not bad. Not the wonderous occasion I had hoped for, though. Overall great for drinks and maybe something sweet but dont go if youre starving!
Describing my experience at the lost boys can only be best explained only if you imagine waking up one day, and not having taste buds. Bad coffee, worse service. I think the dreadful tasting burger I had ended up in the gutter, and probably tasted better because of it.
Great atmosphere and reasonable food. Food presentation is outstanding
