First time ever going to the beat and gotta say I'm super impressed and made new friends there and had nice drinks would definitely come back
Hello and just a heads up i am not a clubbing expert in anyway shape or form. Introvert I found the beat went there Friday to be a really fun place to chill with a variety of nice characters and the dance floors never really stopped, even a drag show towards the end. Staff were excellent and extremely good at their jobs. like super-efficient. Prices weren't insane and once you paid the entry fee could go back as many times as you like through the evening. did notice that numbers rapidly dropped around 1-2 Bouncers responded fast and de-escalated things when they got a little too heated in a calm and measured way. which I strongly appreciated. Finally it was the multiple themes in each of the dance floors, you could pick a vibe and go chill there for a bit. Honestly would go back every week if i could Happy to see safe spaces being maintained at such a high level, cheers
Management seem to go off at any criticism. I was kicked out sitting at a table by myself. I'm thinking it was mistaken identity as I'm not drinking or on drugs. Anyway I'm not going back the new security team have no idea. Bring back the days or Edwin and kesson. They explained I was being rude to women even though i hadn't talked to.anyone. anyway life.goes on
Had to cancel my credit card and have a transaction investigated after being charged 5 times the amount for a drink. All because the bartender had an attitude problem. Great club but wasn’t impressed with this treatment.
Always welcomed backed with warm and loving arms by Madonna and Ric! Madonna is the backbone of this club, without her I would not return. She is an absolute icon of the Brisbane scene. The beat is and will remain the premiere LGBTIQ+ venue of Brisbane.
Great venue, nice bar staff and a amazing entertainment..let down by aggressive security. Actually had to make a police report. Will be back when I feel safe..
It was my first time to the beat and I was made to feel horrible. 45 year old female without an ID and I have to say I’m resilient but the rudeness of the guy at the door was the worst customer experience I’ve ever experienced.
Not gonna lie, I’ve been there by myself for the first time. And it was so amazing, friendly bartender. LOVE this place!
It’s been quite a few years since I have worked at The Beat never had any problems. It has not changed It has improved if anything. Rules have always been in forced just like before as you would expect any bar or club. I miss my days serving all patrons and helping to run the club. I miss Rick I miss John. But it’s still the place I go. I’m looked after Rick makes sure I’m safe even checks on me and has care about everyone else. I even feel safer knowing Rosco is probably watching on the the new camera to. Maybe one day I’ll go back and work again when my bad leg gets better and I’ll be able to party again and just have fun and dance around serving drinks with a smile . Love all you guys always Joel.
Attended the club on Saturday the 25th of June. The bartender Sam downstairs was absolutely the best bartender I’ve had serve me. His attitude made the night of my partners 25th he was so outgoing involving himself with all of us. Sam didn’t stop being the out going amazing person he was even at 3am. Sam definitely makes a name for the beat massive impact and a positive people person. Will attended again because of Sam!
