Story

“The Three Monkeys is an iconic West End gem. The theme runs along the lines of Mediterranean and Greek meets the East, but it is truly an atmosphere that defies description and is best experienced first hand. It is no wonder the Three Monkeys is a hit with students, locals and tourists alike as it offers a great little getaway from the troubles of the outside world and caters for a variety of tastes. Opened in 1990, this Brisbane icon was originally started to serve the students living in the three houses above. As it's popularity grew so did the premises. In 1995 The Three Monkeys changed hands and major expansion took place, moving into the courtyard and across into adjoining rooms.
Before the South Bank revolutions, The Three Monkeys was “the place to be” after a show at the Performing Arts Centre, often staying open past 2am to accommodate the performers. Autographed posters line the walls, from artists, to actors and athletes as a testament to it's popularity.
