Fascinating. I never tire of seeing them - night time with the various lights around shining on them is a great time to appreciate their craftsmanship. Such a quirky sense of humour. Great piece of sculpture. We don't have a Michelangelo but I reckon this could be our Melbourne equivalent. But not all might agree with me. I'm okay with that.

It's just hard to miss the Three Businessmen Who Brought Their Own Lunch sculpture when you're in the heart of Melbourne, the corner of Swanston and Bourke Streets.  This bronze whimsical sculpture by Alison Weaver and Paul Quinn is both a tribute to and depicts John Batman, Charles Swanston and Robert Hoddle, three famous early Melbourne pioneers, brought to the future, dressed in business suits and carrying their lunchboxes while walking with the crowd of people in today's hustle and bustle Melbourne city life.  This very popular tourist attraction was commissioned as part of the Swanston Street Walk Public Art Project, and was presented as a gift from Nauru to the City of Melbourne as part of the city's 150th anniversary celebrations.
