Story

Gray Line Australia is a Melbourne based Australian family owned company offering sightseeing day tours in all major cities and destinations throughout Australia. Operated by the Driver family, together with our regional partners, we strive to provide professional and engaging day tours taking in the best sights and attractions across this great land. Driver Group Australia owns and operates a fleet of over 100 vehicles and has over 180 employees.

In 1991 we were accepted as a member of Gray Line Worldwide Sightseeing and soon after launched a national Gray Line network covering Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Tasmania, Perth, Cairns, Brisbane and the Gold Coast and Alice Springs in Central Australia.

Family - Gray Line Australia is owned and operated by the Driver family with the second and third generations active in the business. We own and operate our fleet of over 100 vehicles from family owned facilities including our bus workshops and body shop, bus yard and administration buildings.

Was in Melbourne and took up 2 day tour with them. First tour was penguin island! My coach driver was Gordon and he is amazing! Introducing us to landmarks and different type of knowledge of Australia. The trip was amazing! I love the penguin parade, koala conversation center and noobies! We went to see sheep sheering and it was amazing. Superb tour. The second tour was the great ocean road tour! It was fantastic! My coach was chris and he was nice and tell us about the great ocean road stories. The view was amazing and the trip was great. Thank you gray line!
Great experience, took a tour to Phillip island from Russell street. Driver/ Guide was both informative as well as joyful! Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Highly recommended.
My husband and I did 2 tours with Gray Line Tours and were very pleased with both of them. First Tour was the Yarra Valley and we loved our driver, James. He was funny, entertaining, knowledgeable about Australian history and an excellent driver. He told marvelous stories. Second Tour was the Big Ocean Road. We had Peter and he was also an amazing tour guide. He was an careful driver. It was a rainy day and cold, but it was still scenic and worth going. I have to say both drivers were very patient with the tourists and getting back in time. Some were late and of course that gets the tour behind schedule. James & Peter were professional in repeating the time constraints. I commend them both, not sure I would have been as accommodating as they were! Good Job and Highly Recommendation Gray Line Tours!
Enjoyed the few tours I booked with them. Their drivers/tour guide were helpful, informative and entertaining. Made me laugh with their jokes. William, Jerry hope I got the name right, he was our driver for the Great Ocean Road adventure, Dane and Ben H were our drivers/guide for the few tours I booked. Customer Care were also helpful. I panicked when the pickup were delayed albeit for just a few mins, and called their office. They got back to me within a few mins. Anyway, thank you William, Jerry, Dane and Ben.
We used them to do the Great Ocean Road tour. Our driver Dav was pretty entertaining, knowledgeable & joyful. Loved his sense of humour. Made our trip to the great ocean road a pleasant experience. Highly recommended
Tour is fine. Bus starts and finishes on time. I had a real bad experience with Grayline driver during the penguin tour. The driver was extremely rude to the customers who PAID to get a good experience while on vacation. He shut off WIFI, slam the door when kids try to get into the bus, make up his own rules etc. Next time I probably settle for a small tour company
We had an enjoyable ride and tour to Phillip Island on 10/9/19 on Gray Line with Dane as our driver and guide. He gave a good and informative commentary of the various local settings enroute, and with a good measure of jokes thrown in. He was very courteous and a careful driver to bòot. Highly recommended
Did the penguin parade tour. The bus was comfortable and our driver was amazing. He was informative and entertaining throughout the trip. Me and my wife had a wonderful time seeing the penguins and phillip Island.
James was great, kept us on time, great recommendations at each stop.
We have used them to go on tours with friends and family who were visiting us. expensive for what it was, they are ok cooling wasnt great in the bus when it was a hot day. the driver talked almost the whole tour! it would have been nice to have some quiet time. felt like he was treating us like a bus load of kids! Pick up and drop off are good
