Pretty much one of the best takeaway coffee shops around Chatswood area. The only drawback is that the wait times are usually quite high and could easily be upto 15min wait sometimes and mostly atleast 10min wait. The customer service is quite nice and friendly and they would even remember your name to put on the coffee cup for your order after a few visits.
These guys are always on point...coffee, service and food. Can't fault them. Best coffee joint in Chatswood using Toby's and you probs wouldn't even know it's Toby's because they execute it better than the roasters themself. Good stuff Steam Engine, good stuff.

Had my coffee here this morning at it was great. Vapor coffee. So good that they serve 6oz coffees and lend jars if customers have forgotten their keep cups. Great environmentally-conscious cafe. Loved the interior design too and the use of space.
The food is as tasty as the coffee. Got the banana bread it was as good as they claim and the Chatswood sunrise wrap delicious Asian style wrap
Great coffee good service, pretty slick operation making the most of the space they have. The sourdough toast was excellent, just the right amount of toastiness, butter and peanut butter
Don't kill your tastebuds! Awful coffee. Over a 10 minute wait for half a cup of bitter disappointment. You couldn't even call it a coffee flavoured drink. Even in sheer desperation avoid this place. The barista was slow and more interested in having a chat with colleagues who were standing around doing nothing than he was on making coffee. Do your business a favour and find a new barista.
Great coffee. Great staff. All you could ever want for a daily pick-me-up!
