I went to this bar in a not-too-busy Thursday evening. Upon entry, I was making polite eye contact with both bartenders trying to get a seat / order. Unfortunately, one bartender was chatting with a customer and ignored me fair enough and the other bartender was cleaning the desk not busy and ignored me. The bar was really not busy and after awkward 10 minutes trying, I walked up and said hello to either bartender, and they just kept ignoring. This was really weird… I dressed properly and stood literally in front of them. I hope the owner was there and I could ask why… [Update] I appreciate the owner’s reply and hope this awkward experience will not happen to another customer after reading the owner’s reply, I’m more confident this could be a rare incident. I was around 7pm on Thursday night and there were 2 bartenders. I also double checked my memory with the photos from Google Map. I was at the right pub. It’s a nice pub and the grill looks great from the picture. I will try out next time.
Great beer selection. We had the Pirate Life honeycomb stout and the Hawkers Chocolate lager. Plenty of different vegan/vegetarian options on the menu, which is awesome to see. We had the No Porky burger and bangers and mash. The burger had a good kick to it and the bangers were a perfect choice for a wintery day. Very friendly and attentive staff despite being super busy with the festival patrons from Festival Hall.
Had a lunch here today. There were lots of patrons being at the peak of lunch but the staffs were very quick in taking orders. The staffs were particularly patient with a large group of hungry and thirsty lads. Then eftpos decided to not play ball so everyone needed to pay cash and good no one kick a strop that we saw. Great pub grub, good portion and vast choices of alcohol. We’ll surely come back.
Great little hotel! Very lovely staff. I even got one free glass of soft drink coz I was clearly pregnant and not able to drink alcohol. Felt very welcomed. The food was delicious! great gluten free options! I got a Parma and it was nearly bigger than my head! Never seen one bigger. Thanks for a great feed before moving onto marvel stadium for the rugby guys!
Wow! You definitely should try out the beers here! Unique and tasty! I've tried Coopers extras strong vintage ale 201 what are a fantastic beer on tap! I Super friendly staff! Will be back back very soon! Cheers!
Changed venue for lunch today. Not a huge gourmet burger junkie. Usually it feels like fast food to me and 'acceptable' is enough. I must be honest. I usually find spending $20+ on a burger and chips a little... Unnecessary ? - as I say acceptable is usually enough for me which might be distorting my view. BUT, having had this burger, I would honestly say I'd go back any time! Succulent burger, beautiful onions, refreshing pickles, absolutely delicious beetroot and that bun is just perfect. Colleague ordered the fish and chips and was delighted. Perfectly fried. Chips were crunchy but not hard. You could tell they change their oil, no weird aftertaste on the chips. There's a mushroom and 4 cheese burger and 2 vegan options also! Gets my 5 stars. I'd definitely recommend and definitely going back for more!!!
Super lovely staff great pub food and beer selection, cool space, very cozy.
Great atmosphere with good cold beers served with a smile. Staff are always considerate, helpful and present well. Parking available literally right outside the door. Will be back as they looked after me and my belly with a super delish burger of perfection with chips, mmmmm glorious chips.
Awesome place with a great atmosphere and good food. Friendly and efficient staff. A great place to have a meal.
Lovely quiet pub with an impressive selection of beers. Whenever I go in I always find a nice stout or porter waiting for me!
