Amazing location, basically opposite Southern Cross Station and has a tram stop out the front. Receptionist was welcoming, we were able to check in earlier than expected. The room was spacious, we had a great view of the city from the balcony, and the beds were comfortable. The only cons were that the TV didn’t work, the toilet smelled bad, the smoke alarm appeared to be disarmed, and we couldn’t change the temperature in the room it got quite cold at night but apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Even though this place is tricky to find, once you are there everything is easy. Parking is good, secure and cheap. Very central location. My friend left a valuable chain in our room and when we returned to look for it the staff went above and beyond. Letting us into the room and searching through the linen with us, we found it! Thank you very much to all the staff :
LOCATION great, near Southern Cross and Flagstaff gardens. SIGNAGE could better as it is still listed as Harbourview Hotel, rather than Arrow on Spencer. Gentleman in CHECK-IN counter was pleasant, quick and went out of his way to check on parking unavailable initially & gave suggestions on the best time to try again. On site PARKING is limited but decent at 25/day. 3 ROOM apartment spacious, KITCHEN well equipped with toaster, oven and utensils. TRAMS passing can be a little disturbing for some but my special power is to be able to sleep soundly.
Booked through AOT hotels for work. Absolutely no mention in the booking terms of the $100 hold they ask for, not mentioned on their website so that was sprung up on me, had no choice but to pay. Some shady looking characters walking in and out, room smells musty and of a cheap perfume, carpets are absolutely disgusting. Won’t be staying here again. Only upside was the staff member who was very polite and friendly
It was a roof, a bed and a carpark for the night. Not much else though. Not only was it difficult to find, the car park had a sketchy feel that we couldn't shake. Poor noise insulation in the room made us wish for earplugs as trams and traffic continued late into the night and early morning. The room was clean on the surface but the carpets left my feet black, and the furniture, one head board and one bed skirt had marks on them. Nearby activities: 1 km walk to the aquarium, tram stop just outside the building, walking distance to the Victoria markets. Safety: Carpark felt sketchy, the doors all required key cards thankfully? The door to our room was heavy and had an additional latch bolt. Walkability: Very walkable, close to supermarkets, attractions and trams. The city tram network is free so I would recommend it far more than driving as traffic is insane and parking is expensive. Food & drinks: Supermarket a 5 minute walk away, plenty of cafes and restaurants around. Apartments have kitchens with a bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and electric stovetop with basic cooking equipment.
We stayed here before and was great but this time terrible. People banging doors and talking loudly in foreign language outside in corridor from 1am till 6am. No sleep. When told reception couldn't care less. Beds too soft, pillows too thin, room layout disfuctional. Doorstop in bathroom in front of toilet and trip hazard.Rooms: 2/5
We booked one night on Agoda website and already paid for that. When checked in ,the reception hold my credit card number for deposit.But we found out the hotel double charged!!! Keep sending the refund request, but they never reply!!! I will never and ever to choose Arrow on again!!!Rooms: 1/5
The room we had was old and very much in need of upgrade. Smelt like damp carpet when we got to our floor. Lots of things didn't work in the room and when asked to fix they couldn't. Eg. Lights not working, tv didn't work properly. Beds were very uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. Location was good. Close to shopping centre and tram stops.
Good location for free City trams and Sky Bus to airport. Clean and comfortable.Rooms: 3/5
The staff were so friendly, professional but also genuine. They upgraded my room for a low price, beautiful clean rooms, gorgeous view, definitely one of my favourite hotels in all of Melbourne. Hassle free and great to relax and get a good nights rest. Don't think I have ever had a bad experience here at all. Love it here !! XRooms: 5/5
