First time I am writing a negative review on Google, but I really couldn’t believe it. Just moved into the area a few days ago and wanted to suss out the local business (which I do love to support) Was recommend this store by a lovely lady who owned another store along Malvern Road, to add some gifts to something I had purchased. Service on arrival was great, about 30 mins in - I picked up a toilet brush ($130) (obscene purchase unless you produce golden poos) went to look underneath to see what it was made of, and a small ceramic disc (that looked attached) falls out and chips on impact with the floor. A lady darts over, looking disappointed and I don’t blame her it’s not a great feeling to see things break in any circumstance. I feel terrible the dish has fallen out and ultimately isn’t perfect as it once was. I apologise and discuss what happened being due to the fact the dish was not attached to the toilet brush. The lady starts mumbling and calls a supplier and sees if it can be replaced, while leaving me to continue shopping. I decide on a book ($99) and a mug ($34) during this time the lady comes back and awkwardly suggests I pay for the toilet brush! Obviously if I dropped a mug/vase on the floor that is a different situation, and that’s my fault - and I explained that the dish should have been stuck down with tape or a note to say it’s not attached, so be careful when picking up. She then corrects to say I could pay $7 to replace the dish with a similar one she had in-store... and I said if I do it, she will loose me as a customer and I would not be taking the items I was going to purchase - $100+ in value where she replied “That’s ok.” Very petty, very insulting - a very rare response now days. The tables turned very quickly from that first encounter, and I didn’t at any point ran away or avoid the situation. Look but beware touching! Luckily I found the book online for $57 so really - a blessing in disguise. What a shame! Such lovely things especially the handmade items. Will not return.

A beautiful store run by a beautiful woman. Such a genuine and awesome place to go grab something for yourself or for a friend, highly recommend!
