Interesting piece of history only if you are into this sort of thing. A glimpse into the early settlement of this area. Surprising find along the Gardiner's Creek trail - cross the bridge to Sinnotts St side. Only bare bones of original structure remains but will require your imagination to supply the rest. Worth noting the way the roof is thatched only bits remain & the exposed walls show how branches were used. You certainly needed to know all tricks of every trade in the pioneering days!
I love it that someone saw fit to include this structure in this history park. The beautifully designed plaques also complement the feel of the place. Worth a visit with the kids - an educational experience, and a way to help them appreciate what can be so easily taken for granted.
À démonstration of early pioneers building construction techniques. Would be better if more contextual information given on location
Just a bridge really
Better for it being there.
