Story


The Rosstown is a very large inner suburban hotel, offering only the very best in customer service. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are provided with ongoing training in all areas of the hotel to ensure they are aware of all our customer needs.

There is a strong focus on all areas being independent, ranging from the main bar with weekly raffles for the Royal Children’s Hospital, sports bar with weekly poker nights, footy tipping and punters club, bottleshop with over 4000 varieties of wine on offer and regular wine dinners to a cosy a la carte restaurant, large comfortable bistro, function room and relaxed bars with open fires.

All our energy saving lighting can be dimmed, effective in creating that special ambience, add to that a large choice of local and imported beers and wines by the glass and our extensive menus, the Rosstown Hotel definitely has it all.

We celebrated a family member’s 5Oth birthday in the cellar bar room - it was a fabulous space and the grazing table food was delicious , thanks Henry for your guidance in choosing our menu ! A special mention also for the friendly service and efforts by Taylor , our own private barman for the night - he was amazing and he went above and beyond to make sure all our guests were comfortable and happy ! The manager Danielle , also checked in and made sure all was going smoothly and so approachable .nnA great space for an intimate and unforgettable celebration of any kind ! Decent and generous pub meals with a huge menu. Our meals were delicious. Absolutely not kid friendly. Kids meals are $18 and don’t include a drink and ice cream like most other pubs that cater to kids. We paid $18 for a bowl of plain spaghetti for our four year old. Who ate three bites. Soul crushing. Great place to go if you don’t have small children.
Pretty good pub food.nnThis is one of those rare scenarios where I'd rather a smaller portion + price.nnEach plate was massive but came with a big price tag as well. I reckon one plate could've fed two people.nnEnjoyed everything we ordered, but honestly was too much. Definitely on the more expensive side if we're going by per head, but that's because we ordered a meal per person when it could've been shared.
Pork roast of the day was covered in really salty gravy. Which ruined it, and didn't go well with the apple sauce. Wished gravy was on the side. Veggies were way over boiled just soggy frozen style veg. Cracking really dry.nDecor is not what it use to be , non of the old red carpet cozy char. - place looks more like a mac Donald's.
Hubby and I tried this place and were blown away by the cleanliness, friendliness of staff and meal sizes. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for a delicious big meal! Thanks for having us, we will be back for sure
